Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 16, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: DIRECT TRADES SUPPLY MS PACE CARTE BLANCHE (1) faced the breeze when a strong 2nd to Red October then had no peace in front when 4th to the same pacer. This field doesn’t look as strong and he should prove hard to beat from the pole. A BOY NAMED ROSIE (3) is racing extremely consistently and will win one of these races when he gets some luck in running. BETTOR BOA (4) is an inconsistent mare but must be considered on her fast finishing 2nd last start. C C CHEVRON (10) was placed off a soft run on Tuesday and can be in the money again tonight. Tips: 1 3 4 10 Suggested Bet: CARTE BLANCHE (1) to win. Race 2: FENCING AT DTS MS PACE ZENNART (5) has won three of his five starts since a long layoff and chased hard when a close-up 3rd behind two smart ones last week. He should be fitter again and will give a great sight. LIVURA (7) is ultra-consistent and was a great 2nd to Maczaffair at his last start before a short let-up and shouldn’t be far away. BETTOR REWARD (9) has been very disappointing but has had a change of stable and trialled nicely at Pinjarra. ALL THE TORQUE (1) looks the early leader and will give them something to catch. Tips: 5 7 9 1 Suggested Bet: ZENNART (5) to win. Race 3: HARDWARE AT DTS MS PACE BETTOR BE SUPREME (1) has only been placed at one of her last eight starts but gets her chance from the pole. She is a strong frontrunner and will lead here and give a great sight. VAMPIRO (12) has won 10 of his last 14 including a narrow win over Runrunjimmydunn last week and must be considered despite the back row draw. THREE BLIND MICE (6) couldn’t get into the race when 6th to VAMPIRO (12) last week but can be put into the race tonight. MAC TIGER (10) looks a good place chance from his perfect trailing draw. Tips: 1 12 6 10 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE SUPREME (1) to win. Race 4: POWER TOOLS AT DTS WA DERBY PRELUDE GOLDEN STATE (1) led when run down by SPEED MAN (4) two starts back before suffering the same fate when beaten by his stablemate, BECHERS BROOK (9), at Bunbury. He will lead again and can go one better. SPEED MAN (4) was impressive in his win before not being suited racing in the breeze and can bounce back. BETTOR B ABELIEVER (2) was an all the way winner on Monday and won’t be far away from this draw. BECHERS BROOK (9) was ultra-impressive in his win but has drawn poorly tonight. Tips: 1 4 2 9 Suggested Bet: GOLDEN STATE (1) to win. Race 5: DIRECT TRADES SUPPLY 4YO & 5YO CHAMPIONSHIP CHICAGO BULL (4) won three on end before working hard in the Pinjarra Cup when nosed out by My Hard Copy. This is a significant drop in class and he should be bounce back into the winners’ circle. RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (3) won three on end before running a gallant 2nd here last week and should be in the finish. MAXENTIUS (1) is a game frontrunner and will give a sight from the pole. IMA ROCKNROLL LEGEND (2) doesn’t have the class of the main chances but could be placed from this draw. Tips: 4 3 1 2 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (4) to win. Race 6: SAFETY GEAR AT DTS 2YO FILLIES WESTERN CROWN HAS NO FEAR (1) has impressed with two wins and two 2nds from her four race starts, including a solid 2nd to Soho Interceptor in the Sales Classic. She started from a back line draw on that occasion and looks very hard to beat from the pole. CAP IN HAND (2) won her first two starts before starting favourite in that Sales Classic but did plenty wrong and was tailed off. She has since won a trial and must be considered. HONG KONG DOLLY (5) defeated HAS NO FEAR (1) at her debut before making mistakes at her 2nd start and looks the other winning chance. BETTOR CAPTURED (10) is drawn to be a place chance. Tips: 1 2 5 10 Suggested Bet: HAS NO FEAR (1) to win. Race 7: DIRECT TRADES SUPPLY 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS WESTERN CROWN THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (6) was a strong winner at his Australian debut before facing the breeze when 3rd to Bettor Be Oscar on Monday. He is drawn inside his main rivals and appeals as the one to beat. GEE JAY KAY (8) did some work before finishing 2nd in the same race and is the obvious danger. CHETAK (7) couldn’t get into the race on Monday but his previous effort was sound. SANGUE REALE (4) has trialled fairly and has a nice barrier for his debut. Tips: 6 8 7 4 Suggested Bet: THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (6) to win. Race 8: IRRIGATION AT DTS WESTBRED MS PACE BACK TO THE BEACH (6) has won three of his last four, including a narrow victory in a better field at Pinjarra on Monday. He is drawn inside his main rival here and is the one to beat. RED HOT ROXY (7) has also won three of her last four and is the obvious danger but is at a disadvantage from the draw. MAX MERIDUIS (1) hasn’t won for nearly two years but was a nice 3rd last start and can play a part from the pole. REAL ZEAL (8) is racing well but the barrier makes his task difficult. Tips: 5 11 9 4 Suggested Bet: BACK TO THE BEACH (6) to win. SuperPick - Race 8 No. 6 BACK TO THE BEACH - Money Back Race 9: BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION AT DTS MARES MS PACE KHUN LEK (5) has hit peak form with consecutives wins over Im Stylish and then OUR JEREMES GEM (3). He should obtain a nice trail in the moving line and will be hard to hold out. OUR JEREMES GEM (3) led and gave a great sight when 2nd last start and should prove hard to catch if he finds the top. ROCKIN THE BOYS (6) has faced the breeze and ran solid 2nds at his last two starts and won’t be far away again. NOTHINBUTADREAM (11) is always running on and can be in the money. Tips: 5 3 6 11 Suggested Bet: OUR JEREMES GEM (3) each way. Race 10: DIRECT TRADES SUPPLY MS PACE ROBERT THE BRUCE (6) had won seven from ten in his last campaign before finishing it racing in stronger company. He resumes here without a trial but should run a big race if anywhere near his top. FUTURIST (12) has been racing in the best company in SA and will be hard to beat if he brings his Adelaide form to Perth. ARTHUR LOWE (8) was a good 2nd in a 55.1 last half at Pinjarra recently and will be fitter for three runs back from a break. ART KEEPER (4) has good Victorian form so monitor the betting at his first run in WA. Tips: 6 12 8 4 Suggested Bet: ROBERT THE BRUCE (6) each way. Bet Now
