Gloucester Park December 13 — Harness Preview Posted on December 11, 2015December 23, 2015 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Tips Race 1: KAI CONSTRUCTIONS MS PACE MACHTU (6) was unlucky in two of his three Inters’ starts where he was held up when looking like he had plenty to offer. He will appreciate this class and should be a major player. COLD MAJOR (7) will also relish the drop back from Inters grade and is coming off his best performance of the series when a 2.7m 5th to Devendra. CONDRIEU (10) has the talent and has trialled satisfactorily since his last midemeanour, while TI AMO FRANCO (1) should lead but isn’t at his top. Tips: 6 7 10 1 Suggested Bet: MACHTU (6) to win. Race 2: TABTOUCH INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS CHALLENGE HEAT 3 MS PACE MILLWOOD FAITH (1) led three starts back when a close 2nd to Nuala when they dashed home in 26.5. She has been unplaced at her two subsequent runs but is drawn to find the front here and will be hard to run down. AWESUM TEDDY (2) made an aggressive mid-race move last week and fought on well for 3rd and is drawn nicely today. THREE BLIND MICE (3) couldn’t get into the race last week but will be more competitive from this draw, while OUR JERRY LEE (10) was a Pinjarra winner on Mondays and is drawn for a nice run. Tips: 1 2 3 10 Suggested Bet: MILLWOOD FAITH (1) to win. Race 3: TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION CONSOLATION MAJOR CROCKER (2) started $2.80 in his final heat but didn’t have much luck when 6th behind Libertybelle Midfrew in the quickest heat of the night. He is drawn nicely and appeals as the one to beat. JASON RULZ (1) is set to enjoy the soft run on the pegs that he enjoys and will be dangerous late. BLAZIN N CULLEN (4) performed well in two of his three heats and his best will be hard to match here. MACH BEAUTY (9) will give them something to catch if he can find the lead without doing too much work from his wide barrier. Tips: 2 1 4 9 Suggested Bet: MAJOR CROCKER (2) to win. Race 4: PRINCI BUTCHERS SAN SIMEON FINAL ATLASTALONE (1) came from an impossible position to win his heat of this event last Friday. He is drawn to lead or take a perfect trail and will be hard to beat either way. OUR JERICHO (3) was enormous in working hard in his heat when 2nd to COMMANDER CHAPEL (11). He is more favourably drawn here and is a major player. COMMANDER CHAPEL (11) has now won 9 from 10 and was the quickest heat winner and an obvious threat, while MORTON PLAINS (6) was impressive in that race and must be considered. Tips: 1 3 11 6 Suggested Bet: ATLASTALONE (1) each way. Race 5: RETRAVISION GOLDEN NUGGET BEAUDIENE BOAZ (5) couldn’t reel in BETTOR REWARD when 2nd to that pacer but made amends with a hard fought win over RUN ONEOVER (4) in the McInerney Classic in blistering time. He is drawn to push forward here and is the one to beat. RUN ONEOVER (4) was game in defeat last week and will run a big race again. BETTOR REWARD (12) showed he wasn’t a one trick pony when running on for 3rd last week, while KIWI LEGEND (2) has defeated BEAUDIENE BOAZ (5) in the past and looks the early leader. Tips: 5 4 12 2 Suggested Bet: BEAUDIENE BOAZ (5) to win. Race 6: TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION GRAND FINAL LENNYTHESHARK (3) was ultra-impressive in his first two heat wins and lost no admirers with his 2nd in the last round when he started from the outside barrier. He has options from this draw and he is clearly the one to beat. LOVERS DELIGHT (1) has been the surprise packet of the series and came into winning calculations when he upset LENNYTHESHARK (3). It will be tougher tonight but he has the draw to be competitive. WAYLADE (2) hasn’t won a heat but has been very consistent and is drawn to be prominent. PHILADELPHIA MAN (4) has cruised through the series with two wins and a 2nd and must be considered one of the main chances. Tips: 3 1 2 4 Suggested Bet: LENNYTHESHARK (3) to win. Race 7: WESTRAL MARES CLASSIC FRITH (9) started from this barrier last week when she went straight to the breeze and dominated the race before holding off the fast finishing Ideal Alice. A similar scenario appears likely and she will be extremely hard to beat. BERISARI (8) was the unlucky runner in that event when she was held up between runners and can be a big improver tonight. NIKE FRANCO (2) is the addition to this field and could give some cheek if she leads. THE PARADE (4) has battled bad draws lately but should be thereabouts from this barrier. Tips: 9 8 2 4 Suggested Bet: FRITH (9) to win. Race 8: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS BINSHAW FINAL NAUGHTY MARAVU (5) has won four of his five WA wins and none were more impressive than his last start victory when he worked hard in the final circuit. He is nicely drawn here and is the one to beat. MAJOR CATASTROPHE (6) went to a new level with Alford in the cart last Friday when facing the breeze and being too strong in quick time and will be thereabouts again. ZNANA (1) and GOTTA GO YANKY (10) should enjoy nice runs on the pegs and can be in the money. Tips: 5 6 1 10 Suggested Bet: NAUGHTY MARAVU (5) to win. Race 9: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC TROTTERS CUP EARL OF CHARITY (13) has won 7 of his last 8 starts and is clearly the one to beat. He worked to the front from a 60m handicap and was a comfortable winner at his last start and will appreciate only having to overcome a 20m handicap today. INVASIVE (10) was an easy winner at his WA debut and looks capable of testing the favourite. BARRY (4) is now with Ross Olivieri and trialled well recently. ENJOY A COLDIE (12) is the defending champ and will be running on late. Tips: 13 10 4 12 Suggested Bet: EARL OF CHARITY (13) to win. Race 10: HI-TEMP SERVICES MS PACE BOUNTY EYRE (2) was crossed and beaten as a $1.60 favourite before working hard when a good 2nd to Our Jerry Lee. He is well drawn today and should be prominent. MIRTHFUL MAC (1) has sat behind the leader at his last two starts for a win and a 2nd and will be thereabouts again. ROYAL MYTH (7) has a good strike rate and looks up to the rise in class. AVALON BROMAC (3) hasn’t had much luck at his two runs back from a spell and could be an improver today. Tips: 2 1 7 3 Suggested Bet: MIRTHFUL MAC (1) each way.
