SILVERA has returned to racing in good form and looks the one to beat when he runs in the L.V.Lachal Handicap (1800m). The four year old carried a big weight when finishing 2nd over 1600 metres at Cranbourne on May 27. That was the run of a coming winner and he returns to Flemington where he scored his best win to date last September. He drops 6kg on that run and looks ready to peak in this race. On a solid program, SILVERA represents the best bet of the day.

RACE 5 NO.1 ABILITY

ABILITY resumes from a long spell when he runs in the Ken Cox Handicap (1000m) but looks the class runner of this field and should run a bold race fresh. The five year old is now in the Henry Dwyer stable and has been given three trials in preparation for his return to racing. He has shown improvement in each trial and should be fit enough to show his best form. He has strong straight track form, gets the 2kg claim for Ethan Brown and is ready to run a big race fresh.

RACE 7 NO.7 OZI CHOICE

OZI CHOICE should be fitter for two runs this campaign and looks the testing material when he runs in the Rod Johnson Handicap (1400m). The Darren Weir trained gelding is a distance specialist that hasn’t enjoyed much luck in two runs this campaign and now steps to his preferred distance. He should race near the speed making his own luck and looks well graded in this company. He is a very tough horse to get past once he hits form and this looks a lovely race for him to record his 9th career win.
