Versatile type who has a great record from this box and going back three and four runs ago was a winner over 647 metres in slick time at Mandurah and here over the 715 metres. Has been too bad to be true at his last couple finishing well back but that prior form was strong and if he can reproduce those efforts will be the one to beat. Can jump to the front and would take some stopping in that position.

Race 3 No. 7 MOREIRA

Golden Easter Egg winner who was outstanding in his Perth Cup heat last week when running on well to finish runner-up behind the fastest qualifier Blazin’ Bomber in a slick 29.89. Stiff to miss a start in the big one and while he is not a brilliant beginner has superior run home sectionals to his rivals here and with a clear run in transit will be too strong. Up and coming star of Australian chasing.

Race 5 No. 1 SEEKING JUSTICE

Victorian stayer who was most impressive in winning his Galaxy heat by more than 5 lengths in the best of night time of 42.41. That time was some three lengths quicker than his main danger Lioness Lulu and he has the added bonus of the box one draw. Is likely to sit right up on speed and given the way he went last week with natural improvement for his second look at the track I can see him being awfully hard to stop. Group 1 glory awaits.
