Deane’s Saturday Bendigo Best Bets Posted on April 6, 2018 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 6 NO. 2 FRENCH EMOTION FRENCH EMOTION looks the class runner of the field in this year’s Bendigo Bracelet (1400m) and should be fitter for one run back from a break. The six year old worked home nicely when finishing 2nd behind subsequent stakes winner QUILISTA over 1200 metres at Flemington on March 17. She will relish a step up in distance and her form suggests that she goes best for rider Brad Rawiller, who has won four races on the mare. She’s very well weighted under the conditions of this race and looks a strong winning chance. SuperPick - RACE 6 NO. 2 FRENCH EMOTION - Win Boost RACE 8 NO. 6 MAHAMEDEIS The Bendigo Guineas (1400m) promises to be a solid race with plenty of depth, however MAHAMADEIS is a highly promising horse that looks a strong chance at each way odds. The son of Magnus finished his last campaign with a win over 2000 metres at Flemington on January 20. He’s only had five starts for two wins and three placings so his consistency cannot be denied and looks well placed here to run a bold first-up race. RACE 9 NO. 10 LAND OF PLENTY Talented four year old LAND OF PLENTY has been a frustration for punters, however he looks ideally placed to record his second career victory when he runs in the Benchmark 90 Handicap (1400m). The four year old is a recent addition to the Darren Weir stable and ran an encouraging first-up 5th behind stablemate WHISPERING BROOK in the Abell Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on March 16. He will appreciate dropping back in class whilst stepping up in distance on the spacious Bendigo track. He has often raced at the highest level, so this grade suits ideally and LAND OF PLENTY represents one of the better bets of the day. Bet Now
