Scott’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on October 11, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 AMONGSTGOODCOMPANY was only finding his feet in the final furlong first-up at Northam. The step up in trip looks ideal. BOLLINGER BOY was enormous at Toodyay and looks like he will stay all day. MAJORA’S MASK is looking for further but can whack away. MR ALBY should appreciate O’Donnell’s re-engagement. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – AMONGSTGOODCOMPANY WIN Race 2 DYNAMITE DREAM should either lead or sit outside the leader and from there is definitely the one to run down. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND is more than capable if he can find a position one off the fence. OLIVER’S TRAVELS is undefeated for Simon Miller but drawn awkwardly. QUEEN TORI was an eye catcher first-up. Numbers: 9 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – DYNMITE DREAM WIN Race 3 STATE ATTORNEY has trialed very well for his return. It would be no surprise to see him go back and zap these from near last. GIFTED WARRIOR was a strong debut winner over a relatively talented bunch. THREE SECRETS hit the line hard on debut. MASSAGI rolls forward and makes his own luck. Recent trial was strong. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – STATE ATTORNEY WIN Race 4 ALL SETTLED is a noted non-winner but with Peter Hall engaged expect him to be put into the race earlier than what he normally is. Gets his chance in a very moderate affair. VALTIMOR should slide across and find the fence. CRYSTAL VALLEY ran second to a handy type before breaking her maiden in style. ST BEL was woeful last start but willing to forgive. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – ALL SETTLED EACHWAY Race 5 THUNDERCLAP NEWMAN has not been close to winning a race in a very long time, however, this is his easiest assignment in years. BUSTER’S SHADOW comes from the same race and was far from disgraced in Saturday grade. GOLGOTHA and BALMONTGOMERY should both take care of the speed and run strong races. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – THUNDERCLAP NEWMAN EACHWAY Race 6 RESISTANCE is a 1000m jump and run type who looks as though she will find the front and after the claim gets in very well weighted. GET THE VIBE has been racing very consistently and from the gun gate settles closer to the speed. DENIM PACK should get a similar run to when he broke his maiden. OREGON BRONZE likely gets back and runs on. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – RESISTANCE WIN Race 7 SHIBUYA CROSSING looks as though he will relish the step up in trip and even though drawn wide should find cover midfield. TAXADERMY is racing incredibly well, drawn awkwardly he will need a peach from Tayla Stone. TIME TO HUNT was ridden a lot closer to the speed first-up and didn’t quite finish off. CELTIC WIZARD should get the run of the race behind the leaders. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – SHIBUYA CROSSING EACHWAY Quaddie (Races 4 – 7) 1,2,3,4,5,10 1,3,4,5,6,7 7,8 1,2,3,5 Bet Now
