Scott’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on July 4, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ROGAN SCENT deserves to be a short priced favourite on her two outings to date where she was luckless in both. This really does look her race. JUST ELATED defied the track bias to run an encouraging second last start. COULD BE QUEEN could whack away on the speed. APOLLO was fair at his WA debut. Numbers: 13 – 1 – 12 – 3 Suggested Bet – ROGAN SCENT WIN Race 2 OUQBA JACK ran a belter on debut and backed it up with an encouraging final 600m behind Salubrious in Saturday grade. Will be short but gets his chance. DAZZLING POET was strong after being three wide throughout last week. YOU AM I is better than what he is currently showing. BROTHER PADDY could improve at odds. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – OUQBA JACK WIN Race 3 DAGORLAD comes from form lines which are simply superior to all other rivals. If he brings his A-Game he will be hard to beat. BIG RED COSTA was given a peach of a ride by Witten last start and will need similar from an awkward gate. MISS RUMOUR MILL is one to watch at big odds off a short turn around. STARKLE was disappointing last start but can bounce back. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 10 – 4 Suggested Bet – DAGORLAD WIN Race 4 O’REILLY’S CRUMPET put the writing on the wall with a fast finishing effort behind Come on Board and Nelson’s Flight. That form will hold up and this looks his for the taking. BROTHER’S KEEPER can improve coming out of strong 3 year old company. SIGIL will appreciate the services of W.Pike. PROCLAMATION is yet to show up in WA but blinkers should help. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – O’REILLY’S CRUMPET SuperPick - Race 4 No. 2 O’REILLY’S CRUMPET - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) Race 5 GINGER NINJA was held up at crucial stages after being heavily supported in betting. From a gun alley Smith should have him poised to strike. WESTERN STAR was a blowout last start but is a genuine staying type who will get through the soft track. GRAND CADEAU probably has bigger races on the map later this preparation, his first-up run was sound. LE SCHILLER would be helped by every inch of rain. Numbers: 2 – 12 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – GINGER NINJA WIN Race 6 ROYAL COMMAND was a dominant winner when first-up last preparation and immediately tipped out for a spell. He could be something a bit better than average. ARAFURA was solid enough in Saturday grade. DEADLY SHOT should improve from the good draw. ELLORA MAY has two very good soft track runs to her name. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – ROYAL COMMAND WIN Race 7 FILLE DE MERIT has a mountain of ability, however has equally as much attitude. If she gets into and out of the gates she will make her presence felt in the hardest race of the day. MRS BROWNS BOY was an impressive winner last start chasing down a talented type off a soft run. Can win again. SENSE OF POWER has always shown good ability, barrier draw hurts. SHOUHOU was undefeated until she stepped up in trip. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 11 – 5 Suggested Bet – FILLE DE MERIT EACHWAY Race 8 LADY LATTE brought her impeccable trial form to the races on debut and toyed with rivals. Drawn beautifully she can definitely remain undefeated. SANTIAGO GAL with blinkers on and back to 1000m looks the big danger. INCREDIBLE HULK is a noted non-winner but is ultra consistent. BLOCK AND TACKLE could surprise a few. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – LADY LATTE WIN Quaddie (Race 5-8) 2,4,6,7,9,12 4 2,3,4,5,6,8,11 6,9 Bet Now
