Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on February 22, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DOLCITY returns to the track off only a 400m jump out but showed enough on debut to suggest she could run a race. LADY COSMOLOGY hails from the premier juvenile camp and looks all class. MAGIC PLANET comes to the races without a longer trial but from what we’ve seen looks above average. ZIP ZAP ZOOM is a query at the trip but was huge on debut. Numbers: 10 – 13 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – DOLCITY EACHWAY Race 2 VERY ANGRY GAL was excellent first-up and then got back in a leader dominated affair second-up. Blinkers on and drawn perfect, looks hard to roll. SUNBOSS is still a maiden but certainly can’t be discounted. PEARL TRADE destroyed rivals at her most recent but needs the speed on. HEART OF COEUR looks a handy type in the making. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – VERY ANGRY GAL WIN Race 3 MONEY MAHER won the Fairetha fresh at 1400m and this race is far easier than what that was. ELEGANT BLAST has trialed up exceptionally well for her return. SWEET ORA could have found a new lease on life racing on pace in this sort of distance range. FLYING ROAR needs to find the front to show his best. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – MONEY MAHER WIN SuperPick - Race 3 No. 4 MONEY MAHER - Win Boost Race 4 PRIZE CATCH comes from a strong form reference and goes well on the back-up. Should get every favour from the alley. WESTERN TEMPLE only comes from a moderate 66+ but when he saw daylight really did explode. Has the ability to string a few together. BARAKI BEATS falls into a winnable race for him. PROCEEDWITHCAUTION box seats and is regularly carries weight. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – PRIZE CATCH EACHWAY Race 5 JUICING CARROTS has been out of the winners’ circle for a long time but looks to be going better than it reads on paper. STOICISM was backed as if unbeatable at Pinjarra and rattled home late. DUBAI ESCAPADE is going along quite well and could sneak under the radar. RIPPER RIO is out of form but this is his easiest assignment in years. Numbers: 6 – 10 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – JUICING CARROTS EACHWAY Race 6 ELEVEN SECONDS is going from strength to strength and makes his own luck on the pace. Very hard to run him down but likely goes round at a ridiculously short quote. FALCON CREST seems to do his best work when freshened up and should go close. DANEHILLS DAUGHTER should improve off her first-up effort. DARK ALERT could run a cheeky race at a price. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 10 – 1 Suggested Bet – ELEVEN SECONDS WIN Race 7 RUN LIAM RUN was an eye catcher in the Fitzpatrick Plate and can position up in a lovely spot from the draw. GET OVER IT put together two impressive wins over the carnival period. MINUS LOOKS has some serious scalps when racing fresh, just drawn woefully. MORE ACES can lead or box seat and go well. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 12 – 3 Suggested Bet – RUN LIAM RUN EACHWAY Race 8 FINE SCENT lost all winning chance in the Magic Millions when she got knocked around in transit. Her effort after that was very strong. SNOW BLOSSOM really did measure up in Town and was never going to be suited with the rail at 15m. This is a much more winnable race for her. REGAL MOON is going well and will break through sooner rather than later. MEGAFACTORY has come back well. Numbers: 14 – 7 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – FINE SCENT EACHWAY Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,3,4,5,6,8,10 8,9 2,3,4,6,12 7,11,14 Bet Now
