Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on November 17, 2017November 17, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 REBEL KNIGHT has trialed in unusual fashion with an 850m trial preceding a 400m jump out. Both equally impressive and he is well related. PARTY NIGHT worked hard to lead on debut. Drawn more favouably here. CHASING THE ACE was held up at crucial stages on debut. CAROLINA REAPER won stylishly at his second career start. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – REBEL KNIGHT WIN SuperPick - Race 1 No. 3 REBEL KNIGHT - Money Back Race 2 RHI’S ROCKET was able to find the front, control and dominate last start. If he finds the top again he will take running down. BOURNE SUPREMACY looks to have fallen into a very winnable race having bypassed the Colonel Reeves Stakes. THE RIVER has not won for a long period but his trial showed he is all class. RECOILED is hard to catch but going well. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – RHI’S ROCKET WIN SuperPick - Race 2 No. 6 RHI’S ROCKET - Money Back Race 3 SETTLERS CREEK backs up off 7 days where he was run off his feet and found trouble. Should settle more prominently here and gets his chance. WAR GOD is a strong on pace type who should camp on the stablemate. WRINKLY was game in defeat last weekend and looks to be going well. LA MOULINE is flying but this is her toughest test yet. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – SETTLERS CREEK EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 3 No. 3 SETTLERS CREEK - Place Boost Race 4 SAXAPAK had been toiling away in tough races for a long time before dropping back in grade and winning well on Cup day. This is no harder and he can win two in a row. REEF KEEPER likely finds the front or outside the lead and from there goes close. MASTER MAGICIAN has Pike and a gun alley. CARALABEK does lots of things wrong but will pinch one soon. Numbers: 10 – 5 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – SAXAPAK EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 4 No. 10 SAXAPAK - Place Boost Race 5 VARIATION was incredibly well supported in the Asian Beau and went down by the narrowest of margins. Should be peaking here and looks the one. MATERIAL MAN won very impressively in the Northam Cup. This looks another ideal race for him. TOUCH OF SILVER needs to win this to make the Railway. INFATHUATED was woeful last start, he could bounce back. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – VARIATION WIN SuperPick - Race 5 No. 3 VARIATION - Win Boost Race 6 STATE SOLICITOR is the most promising type in Western Australia at the present. He should get a world perfect run from the inside and be winning. WHISPERING BROOK drops back sharply in distance and from a nice alley should be right there in the finish. VOLKOFF gets back and winds up. DAINTY TESS is drawn very awkwardly but she is tough. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – STATE SOLICITOR WIN Race 7 MIKIMOTO looks primed to make it 4 starts for 4 wins and the second leg of a popular Pike/Peters short priced double. ART SERIES was excellent in the Burgess Queen and looks like an extra 100m suits. SOPHIA’S SECRET ran serious time in that race and if she somehow found the front she goes close. MASSAGI next best off a soft run. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – MIKIMOTO WIN Race 8 COULEUR BIZARRE has been acquitting himself well in strongly run staying races. Dropping back in trip on the quick back-up he looks well placed. COME PLAY WITH ME has been beating up moderate opposition. He is talented but gets a long way back. AWESOME AS was an eye catcher at his most recent and can roll forwards. NOT AGAIN KEN was woeful last start, he’s better than that. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – COULEUR BIZARRE EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 8 No. 4 COULEUR BIZARRE - Money Back Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,3 8 2,4,5 2,4,5,6,9,10 Bet Now *A maximum of one SuperPick on an individual race.
