Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on April 17, 2018April 19, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PRINCE OF PROMISES was on debut off a 400m jump out without vision and the effort was excellent. Only improves and can box seat. CRYPTIC LOVE has the speed to lead or sit outside, nice debut without much luck early. DASH FOR KNICKERS really responded when asked for an effort in a sharp trial. BROADWAY SENSATION may sneak under the radar. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 10 – 9 Suggested Bet – PRINCE OF PROMISES WIN Race 2 WILD GALAH has been solid in all three career runs and should get a nice run midfield. DON’S LEGACY really hit top gear late in his trial and looked good. KENYLUCK missed away last start and then found all sorts of traffic. MISS FROST was an interesting debut with opinions sure to be divided on how impressive it was or wasn’t. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 13 Suggested Bet – WILD GALAH EACHWAY Race 3 UNENDING was never a hope in a sit sprint race. That effort was far better than reads on paper. MONTAGNA has finished bridesmaid at his past four starts but this looks no harder. COUNTRY FOX could give some cheek if allowed to find the front. SATIRIC looks extremely one paced but should stick the trip with ease. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – UNENDING EACHWAY Race 4 VERMONT LADY is drawn awkwardly and possibly a query at the trip but that form has already held up and this race is weak. REGAL ROGUE dropping back in trip can run a race. ECHOES IN TIME is getting close to another win. BLACK SMUGGLER is going well and should be in the finish. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 11 – 2 Suggested Bet – VERMONT LADY EACHWAY Race 5 DON’T FUSS is raw and green but showed well and truly above average ability in his first campaign. FORCEFUL travelled very well in his trial and looks to have come back well. FAERIE WHISPER has sensational race form but trialed woefully. MISS SWINDLE next best from the sticky draw. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – DON’T FUSS EACHWAY Race 6 SHE’S VITAL trialed very well and then was only fair first-up. Quickly rebounded to finish alongside a genuine Saturday type. This race looks a nice assignment. SHANIA STYLE is a maiden but the first-up run was very nice in a quality line-up. SECOND BEST looked a nice type when winning with ease first-up. IZ THAT RIGHT should get a cosy run. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 9 – 6 Suggested Bet – SHE’S VITAL WIN Race 7 BEVANDA has been ticking along well all preparation and can run a race here off the quick back-up. BLUE TRACER deserves to break his maiden because he has been excellent all preparation. SMALLAMOUNTOFMERIT is going well enough to win. WILLY WAGTAIL could surprise at odds. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – BEVANDA EACHWAY Race 8 NEW TIME is best suited when allowed to charge. If instructions to Mauritian apprentice Brandon Louis are heeded the old boy could run them ragged. GENERAL HUSSON has beaten New Time on two occasions and gets a huge weight advantage for those encounters but went terribly first-up. CHECKERS gets a lovely run midfield. DAD SAID could bob up at odds. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – NEW TIME WIN SuperPick - Race 8 No. 1 NEW TIME - Money Back Race 9 DISTANT TRILOGY looks to have fallen into his most winnable race so far this preparation and if he runs a genuine 7 furlongs should be hard to beat. JUPITER RISING has had minimal luck all preparation and this is weak. BUCKTORIO hasn’t won for a long time but going well. NUN TOO SAVVY next best. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 11 – 10 Suggested Bet – DISTANT TRILOGY WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,6,10 2,3,6,7,9,11 1,2,4 1,3,10,11 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2018-04-18/pr” linkrel=””]
