Scott’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on May 15, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 JEDAFFAIR found extremely bad traffic at her most recent and loved the way she was able to pick herself up and still charge through the line. TRADE PRIZE also settled near last in a race dominated on speed. Forgive that and his previous was good. NEMIROFF was sent out short on debut and went shin sore. Looked good in a recent trial. SHAPITA sat outside the lead and was never fully tested, expect her to be right there. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 5 – 11 Suggested Bet – JEDAFFAIR WIN Race 2 ABELDANE was one of the more bizarre and impressive staying performances I’ve seen three starts ago behind Percy Kiwa. Almost got the chocolates at 50s his next start and saddle slipped at the most recent. If he finds the front they’ll know they’re in a staying race. MONTAGNA was solid at his first start over a trip and should be peaking. SNITZATUNE is drawn awkwardly but looks a nice type in the making. CONTENTIONAL will break through soon. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – ABELDANE WIN SuperPick - Race 2 No. 5 ABELDANE - Money Back Race 3 RED ARMY trialed excellently for his return and as long as they can make an inch of ground he looks incredibly hard to roll. GUNS OF NAVARONE should settle closer from the gate, is a winner off 7 days and looks the logical danger. KEEPER’S TALE is well weighted after the claim for an in-form apprentice. No match for Pearls and Prawns but most would struggle against her. LUCKY LEGACY is always charging home at the end of races. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – RED ARMY WIN Race 4 AMELIE ARGOT was ridden aggressively into the corner to make a run at Fabergino but quickly found out simply how classy that filly is. She was left floundering late but that form is hot. SHANIA STYLE worked hard in the same race and can be a sharp improver here. BRUTUS MAXIMUS is arguably one of the more talented maidens in the State. SIGNIFICANT STREAK is going better than reads on paper. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – AMALIE ARGOT WIN Race 5 HE’S A PARKER returned with cardiac arrhythmia in the Derby. Drops back in grade and distance, if he was to reproduce a run similar to the Roberts Stakes finishing within a length of the likes of Money Maher he goes close. GOLGOTHA was never fully extended in his first start for the Harrison Stable in Saturday grade. WING COMMANDER gets in under the radar from a soft gate and can bob up at big odds. TOUCHED is a huge query at the trip but has Pike. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – HE’S A PARKER EACHWAY Race 6 EASEWOLD looked a very good type at his debut win but has only been fair at two starts since. His recent trial was emphatic and looks the kind of horse who will do his best work three deep with cover. TYCOON LEGEND caught the eye ridden cold fresh in a nice form reference race for this. RESISTANCE is up sharply in weight and that’s the query for a fairly small filly. ROUTE EIGHTY EIGHT belted moderate opposition down the straight. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – EASEWOLD WIN Race 7 FAST AS THE WIND had blinkers added for her last start and looked to be travelling into the corner before all the gaps quickly closed on Kirby. She can bounce straight back. SALON DU CHEVAL trailed like a handy miler and duly saluted on debut, this is not a lot harder. LITTLE MISS MAK is going well enough to give this a shake at odds. YEAH BRAVO is consistent but looks to lack a killer punch. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – FAST AS THE WIND WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,3,4,5,7,8,9 1,2 2,4 1,2,3,4,8,9 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2018-05-16/pr” linkrel=””]
