Scott’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on April 10, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ALPHA SKY has trialed well albiet with the blinkers on. Falls into a winnable maiden on debut. FOO TROUBLE returns first-up, no trial, blinkers on and senior rider on. Worth consideration. REBOW has the form lines but a fair few lurks. COUNTESS NATASHA went close to breaking through last prep. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – ALPHA SKY WIN Race 2 GLOBAL RESET hails from the best juvenile camp in the state and has trialed well this preparation. KING OF PLANETS has the form on the board and will be hard to hold out. GREAT CHARDE ran into a very nice one at trials. AMAZED next best. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – GLOBAL RESET WIN Race 3 SPEEDING COMET has been impressive in all runs this preparation and should get a spot three deep with cover. MISTY METAL thumped moderate opposition and showed the ability she was always promised. COPPER FURY grows a leg when she can find the fence. SCALPEL has been below par all campaign but this is his easiest contest to date. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – SPEEDING COMET EACHWAY Race 4 THISAWAY should enjoy a very similar run to when he was a strong winner on Good Friday. Looks like he could string a couple together. PRIZED NEMESIS looked like he would benefit from race experience and could find the front. INVISIBLE PRO was never on the track last start and has nice form. ROSE’S SHADOW box seats. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – THISAWAY WIN Race 5 FORTY FOUR RED worked hard early and was entitled to throw in the towel late. He can sit outside the lead and win. SEASIDE SERENADE bolted in second-up and should be there abouts. A FAIR LADY was never in it first-up and pulled up with issues, she’s better than that. ATACAMA SKY cops a lot of criticism for a horse with ability. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 10 – 1 Suggested Bet – FORTY FOUR RED WIN Race 6 SOMEDAY ONE DAY should get the unimpeded run down the outside that he requires to win races. His form is easily good enough to win. DUCK FEET looks likely to sit just behind a genuine tempo. FAST AS THE WIND was good in Saturday grade last start. WANTED DESIRE needs the speed to go on early. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – SOMEDAY ONE DAY WIN Race 7 YOUNG THOR went close to winning a handy enough 3 year old staying race at his first attempt. Looks even better suited over this trip and against older horses on their mark. TYSON FIGHT is hard to catch but can bob up. BEVANDA can be included at odds. PROZONE next best. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – YOUNG THOR WIN SuperPick - Race 7 No. 1 YOUNG THOR - Win Boost Race 8 VITAL ASSET was very good fresh and then has had absolutely no luck next two starts. Drawn sticky again but going well. DEMERITORIOUS hit the line hard first-up. VEGA DIOR is drawn perfectly and has trialed very nicely for her return. COMPARITIVE is a live winning chance for travelling apprentice Brandon Louis. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 13 – 1 Suggested Bet – VITAL ASSET EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,6,8,10 FLD 1 1,6,7,8,13 Bet Now
