Scott’s Sunday Albany Preview Posted on February 9, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ANNA AMALIA has her first outing for a new stable. Her form is arguably stronger than what she meets here. DESERT THORN has been well thought of his past couple of starts. SPORTHOUSE DREAM is still learning and improving at every run. DON’T LET THOMMO GO has run some really nice races in his career for a 10 start maiden. Numbers 7 – 2 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet –ANNA AMALIA WIN Race 2 MISSILE MILLY was set a task on debut and did it very tough throughout. She was entitled to be beaten out of sight. VITAL BOOM continues to find one better than her. BACHELOR BOY sneaks under the radar. His debut two year old run was a ripper. MYARENA next best. Numbers: 12 – 1 – 5 – 13 Suggested Bet – MISSILE MILLY WIN Race 3 ROYAL PLANET has run some fast finishing placings in the midwest and with the likely speed on paper she looks to get her chance. NOBEL IMAGE is also suited by the frenetic tempo. LEVONAS won easily on debut and can go on with it. HIGH CALYPSO is a 1000m horse who could be stretched at the trip. Numbers: 10 – 8 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – ROYAL PLANET EACHWAY Race 4 PRENTICE has finally hit a purple patch of form after a fairly long run of placings. More than capable of lumping the weight in this class. MR PAGO gets a nice weight swing on a few and has been building. SAXAPAK will whack away on the speed fresh. GAUGED is hard to catch but has a nice turn of foot. Numbers: 1- 7 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – PRENTICE WIN Race 5 BLACK FREDA does her best work with atleast three weeks between runs. She should get every opportunity from the inside gate and this is very winnable. AMALIEMOO is super consistent but just lacks a killer blow. UPTOWN FUNK is hard to catch but goes well for Shaun O’Donnell. PRIX D’EXCELLENCE hails from a stable who knows how to produce a mare to win the Bracelet. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – BLACK FREDA WIN Race 6 LORD KRONOS has 60kg and an inside gate to contend with but is capable of taking up a prominent position in running. He is the class in this race. SAINT STEPHEN was very well supported at his most recent and was sound. VINO BENETEAU would give cheek if he lead. MONGOLIAN WARLORD is a query at the trip. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – LORD KRONOS WIN Race 7 MINUS LOOKS would be a deserving favourite if by some miracle he got a run as third emergency. His fresh form and his 1300m form is impossible to argue with. CLASSICAL PRINCE should be able to park midfield behind a strong tempo. SECRET MINX train looks to be flying but the draw really hurts. VIKING FORREST could be the smoky to swoop off the back of the likely speed battle. Numbers: 18 – 4 – 5 – 12 Suggested Bet – MINUS LOOKS WIN Race 8 QUEEN TORI gave fairly moderate opposition a galloping exhibition last start. She can lead or swoop so no reason why she can’t go on with it. FRIARFIGHTER is a strong on-speed type. WAR KSAR is no doubt looking for further but can sprint well fresh. DE ANDES is always there abouts in this grade. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – QUEEN TORI EACHWAY Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,2 1,7 FLD 2,6 Bet Now
