Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on October 2, 2026October 2, 2026 | Posted by Glenn Ingram Race 1 Michael Freedman had two in and scratched one, PROVERB is a Written Tycoon colt and showed a good turn of foot to win a Randwick Trial. Respect the booking of Blake Shin taking on a trio of McEvoy runners, MAALEFUSHI was my pick of the trio, she’s unwanted in betting, led in one heat and chased in another, she can looks well-educated. SILENT INTENT and ANKAA both have speed, the latter still does a bit wrong. How they all parade will determine the betting. Selections: 3,6,4,1 Suggested Bet: Exotics Race 2 Two first-up runners have jumped out well and should appreciate wet ground. THEBELMONTGANGSTER comes in off just one jumpout which is different to last time in when heavily-backed after three jumpouts and flopped at Caulfield. No surprise to see him good enough to win, forecast is favourable. HANKEE ALPHA was scratched from the gates at Mornington last week, she’s done plenty of work and may sit closer to the speed than what she did in NZ. CABRIOLE has speed, can handle soft, heavy the query. First time up the straight. CHARMING NIC is on the up third-up. Selections: 7,20,11,12 Suggested Bet: THEBELMONTGANGSTER & HANKEE ALPHA Race 3 LEPOLO looks suited stepping up in distance to 1800m, the small query is the gap between runs on a testing track and his fitness levels. Maps for a soft run. MISS WAITITI should relish a rain-affected track, great run first-up at Seymour, flopped out the back and was home fast off a slow speed. Blinkers go on. TRUE REBEL comes through strong form races and CORRETTO jumped out well for the new stable, wet track unknown. Selections: 2,14,10,12 Suggested Bet: LEPOLO win / exotics with 14,10,12 Race 4 TOLAGA BAY was a forgive at Caulfield 2nd up, caught wide in the run and knocked up on the firm track. STIPULATION sat closer to the speed at Geelong to break his maiden. He looks promising and won’t shock to see him go back-to-back. PROFLIGATE was excellent last start, now has to repeat the performance on a wet track which she is a query on. LA BARITTA was heavily-backed at Ballarat and unknown a wet track. Selections: 8,11,3,6 Suggested Bet: TOLAGA BAY 1 x 3 Race 5 ABOUNDING is a sharp imrpover on her disappointing run in the Bobbie Lewis when not handling the straight track, three weeks between runs but has had a jumpout at Flem. Back around a bend and up in distance with B Shinn, some chance in an open race. GOLD COAST BELLE has a tricky set-up will go forward at the risk of being trapped wide throughout. WROTE TO ARATAKI should lead from the inside gate and loves wet ground. GOLD MEDALLIST is third-up and won third-up last campaign, rain helps. Selections: 3,7,6,15 Suggested Bet: ABOUNDING 1 x 3 Race 6 NATURAL FLING has a liking for the Flemington straight track based on her jumpouts, noseroll was off in a recent jumpout and was keen in the run. She once again takes on THE NEXT EPISODE who had a quieter jumpout in behind her but does hols a win over the filly and likes wet ground. OVER EXCITED arguably should’ve won up the straight last start, wet track query. MBUBE and POCKETFULLOFCASH next best. Selections: 10,3,11,9 Suggested Bet: Exotics Race 7 Boom horse AETHELWULF is withdrawn to run in Sydney. Pace just moderate. CAMPALDINO and LITZDEEL will go forward with WOOTTON VERNI. Maher has five runners engaged. JENNIVAMOOSE is flying on the comeback from injury, ran well but was no match for stablemate Shockletz at Flemington over 2500m, the fast speed suited the winner. With the benefit of a run at 2500m she is in the mix here. Stablemate JUJA KIBO looks ready to peak third-up coming down from Sydney, can go forward with Ben Melham up. BERKELEY SQUARE thrives at HQ on wet ground, one for multiples. Selections: 14,11,7,2 Suggested Bet: JENNIVAMOOSE 1 x 3 Race 8 Best Bet SIR DELIUS can take up the running without much pressure for the lead, forgive last time behind a slow speed, backing him to bounce back with the right set-up. AELIANA will be tracking him everywhere. SHE’S A HUSTLER ticks a few boxes, thrives at Flemington and 2nd up, track a H9 at the time of writing and although she’s taking on the top brass, expecting a big run. Stablemates ZAHRANN and SAINT GEORGE are in the mix, the latter was big in defeat last start, again drawn poorly. COSMIC CRUSADER settled closer but received windburn from Birdman, drawn well to make amends. Selections: 2,5,12,4 Suggested Bet: SIR DELIUS win Race 9 SKYBIRD is well-placed and finds a very winnable race for the inform stable of Mitch Freedman. Caught the eye with a soft jumpout win at Ararat since a modest effort at Sandown first-up, deserving of favourtism. LOSESOMEWINMORE continues to hold his form deep into the prep. Handles both wet and dry and is ultra-consistent in his straight race appearances, does pay a weight penalty rising 6kg. WINNASEDGE was poor off a break and below par at Caulfield, firm track possibly against, can bounce back into the money, HEDGED looks a key speed runner, heavy track unknown. Selections: 15,5,7,4 Suggested Bet: SKYBIRD win Race 10 Best of the day TEN COMMANDMENTS coming off a PB at Ballarat and deep into his campaign, beautiful map for this horse in behind a strong tempo set by JUST FOLK and HOME RULE ensuring the speed. JUST PARTY hit the line strongly with a chequered run in the straight in the Soffitel Stakes last start, fast speed would only increase his chances. STEPARTY has jumped out well to return and has won fresh on two ocassions. Selections: 11,16,3,17 Suggested Bet: TEN COMMANDMENTS win MULTI: R2#20 place, R3#2 win, R10#11 win
