RACE 1

ROCK FEST is likely to go around a prohibitively short priced favourite at his second career outing after making his debut at the mid-weeks under 59kg and pulling clear for an emphatic, effortless and exciting 5.6L win. He looks a proper horse in the making and expect he’ll safely handle these and go 2 from 2. ARTISTRY IN MOTION looms as the obvious danger because he’ll roll to the top and control the speed. Will be looking to turn it into a sit and sprint to suit himself. CHAMPAGNE CRUSADER is trying hard but is a level below the top 2 on ability. BRIDGEPORT will be a nice horse in time, just has a lot to learn.

RACE 2

BARTIME has been given a freshen after his last start failure at Bunbury and digging deep into his historical form you’ll find he’s actually a previous winner off 58 days and worth remembering he led them a merry dance on a Heavy9 at Pinjarra only three starts back. Straight to the front and gives plenty of cheek. TALKAWAY is a previous winner on the quick back-up and the Snow God / Diamond Dancer form must be shown a lot of respect. Just has to navigate another tricky draw. ON PATROL is racing consistently well but won’t be an easy ride for a 3kg claimer drawn low. RIGHT TO SILENCE is knocking on the door.

RACE 3

IMMORTAL BLISS is two from two undefeated in WA and looks a big chance of making it three from three. The form through his last start victory was printing money last week at Belmont Park: Snow God (2nd) – plunged and wins, Scully (4th) – plunged and wins. He’ll get back and that’s a difficult position to win from at the Belmont 1000 but he’s got a big L600. SIXINCH HEELS is back at the races and capable of settling closer to the speed than him and makes a race of it from that tactical advantage in running. CANNY ROCK can burn across from the outside at odds. UNDER INFLUENCE just leaves himself too much to do.

RACE 4

MYSTICAL MAN has returned in excellent order. His trial was surprisingly sharp for a staying type, his fresh run was honest at 1600m, his second-up run was massive when taking off three and four deep with a sustained run from the 800 and now he should be ready to win at the staying trip. Live eachway chance. ILGIRO DELMONDO has won her last two at 50+ level and faces her toughest test to date here. LONG GENES has finished second the last two times he has backed up off 7 days. WICKED COOL is a blowout chance at 50-1.

RACE 5

KING ADVISO is flying. He was only swamped by Desert Nymph and Shmoov Moova last start in a 72+ 1200 and he clearly runs for Brad Parnham. His race likely comes down to the first 200m in behind able to cross My Hidden Universe to find the fence. Think he will. MY HIDDEN UNIVERSE will probably look to pop off the inside and breeze to give himself some room to move rather than being left leader’s back. DEFERRED was held up at a crucial stage last week and attacked the line hard once clear. Just wary that the luckless horse is often over-bet. RISSOLES is a sharp mare on her day.

RACE 6

AIN’TSOBAD was slow away over 1000m at her return to racing and that was race over for her from there. She still travelled well into the race and unfortunately for Brayden Gaerth there was a horse to his outside holding him in traffic at the point of the home corner. Second-up, out to 1200m, dropping 2.5kg looks a suitable set up for her. GREAT EMOTION is a lightly raced 4 year old who looks to have a fair bit of upside and a sharp turn of foot when saved up. TERRATIF will go back and then hope there’s a three deep line building to take her and stablemate BE BARDOT into the race. Not convinced there is on paper?

RACE 7

FLURO NEURO is a ripper. Every time they raise the bar he gives everything to try and reach the level. Since winning a 72+ 1400 at Bunbury back in March he has run 5 consecutive second placings: 3x Watch Me Rock, 2x Phanta; and the most recent of those was at WFA. He’s gone from a m86 to m96 without winning a race which isn’t ideal but this is a great chance to sit back and zap them. COOL MEMORY looks the only speed in the race and usually that will equate to a big market mover, especially when the fav gets back. DESERT NYMPH has claims at being the best credentialed wet tracker in WA. VAST ART can bounce back after an uncharacteristic shocker.

Same Race Multi – Fluro Neuro (Top 2) + Desert Nymph (Top 4)

Fluro Neuro ran second to Phanta in both the Belmont Newmarket and the Idyllic Prince Stakes, with the most recent being run at WFA, meaning that he drops 2kg into a handicap and gains the services of a returning William Pike. Desert Nymph went to a new level last start beating some really exciting 4 year olds and is a wet track specialist.

RACE 8 

STREET BAND kept coming underneath of inform miler Arcadia Knight last week and on the 7-day back-up drops in grade into a 66+, is better equipped after a run at the distance and in a race with only moderate speed outside of Kelvinator he should land into a prominent spot in running. AUTUMN REBEL is a last start winner this track/distance/grade and after the ZJP claim carries 2kg less. If he had remained injury free, he could have been a Cups horse already.  HOSTILE TALK has been enormous at his last two and at this stage of his career is racing like he wants 1600m. TWILIGHT TALE was all the rage at her return but never fired a shot.
