Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Caulfield Preview Posted on April 15, 2025April 15, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn. ROYAL LODGE has looked sharp in a couple of recent jumpouts. YUUKI has also jumped out in good style for the debut. HEY JESSIE has the benefit of race experience and may settle better coming back to 1000m. CRYPT is another to look good at the jumpouts. Selections: 3,6,5,1 Suggested Bet: Royal Lodge to win Race 2 BLINDEDBYTHELIGHT did enough on debut over 1400m and looks suited by the rise in trip. SCORPION covered ground on debut, he stuck on well under the circumstances and draws for a softer run. CORAL IMPACT also covered ground last time and stuck on ok behind an odd on fav. SHOW OF GOLD will give a sight. THINXZO and WRITTEN STORY have claims. Selections: 8,5,3,2 Suggested Bet: Blindedbythelight each way Race 3 WHATELEY resumes gelded and has had some bone chips removed from an off fore knee. He comes through some strong form races in his first prep and looks ready to go following some encouraging jumpouts. SALTBURN has been jumping out ok to resume. He has the wide draw to contend with but it is the chute start and he should be strong late. I AM TITAN has looked ok at the jumpouts and has the inside draw for his debut. JUMPIN’ JEWELETTE chased well on debut and will strip fitter. TERILEE is another that has jumped out well enough to respect on debut Selections: 8,7,5,9 Suggested Bet: Whateley to win Race 4 SYMPHONY OF COLOUR has been jumping out in good style to resume and brings some strong for lines through her runs to date. SHEHUNGTHEMOON is fit, consistent and should roll forward and give a sight from the low draw. GLORIOSO will settle back but will be charging late, as will SMART LITTLE MISS. FULLY CALCULATED is fit and in form. Selections: 4,7,5,1 Suggested Bet: Symphony Of Colour to win Race 5 APPOINTED is a winner here, he has jumped out well between runs and may settle a little better with ear muffs on. CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT has returned well and will give a sight from a good draw third up. KYLE displayed a good burst of acceleration to score well last start and may be best suited kept at this trip. POCKET SIZE got the right run to score last start an Shehungthemoon will have provided a guide on that form in the previous race. CLEAN REEF has jumped out ok to resume. MACHINIST will strip fitter and has a case. Selections: 4,5,1,6 Suggested Bet: Appointed ech way Race 6 DIDN’T MISS MANY worked through the line ok first up and with luck from the draw looks well placed stepping up in distance with a claim. INVINCIBLE EMMA did enough first up after being retrained from the wide draw and can settle a lot closer from an inside barrier with that run under her belt. MORISSETTE has been going well for the new stable and has jumped out well between runs. NARBOLD may need some luck from the draw but will strip fitter for his first up run. WILLIAMSTOWN is racing in career best form and has claims again. Selections: 5,10,9,8 Suggested Bet: Didn’t Miss Many each way Race 7 CHARMING NIC impressed with blinkers applied running fast time at Swan Hill and looks hard to beat again. ALERO has been freshened since winning quite a solid maiden and has jumped out well between runs. GRINZINGER MOON has looked good winning easier races but can make her own luck and appears capable of measuring up again to slightly stronger company. STEEL MOVE should be further improved following his maiden win at his second start. TESSA’S CHOICE has been competitive in stronger races and has jumped out ok to resume, but inclined to want to see her under race day pressure. Selections: 3,6,4,5 Suggested Bet: Charming Nic to win Race 8 Good race. OXFORD BLUE showed good fight to kick back and score second up and looks suited by the slight rise in distance TRANGOOJAHRAY is one of a number of horses from the stable building impressive records and gives the impression she can measure up to another slight rise in grade. MR BUSTER ran well first up from a long break and is sure to have derived significant improvement from that run. CLAIM THE CROWN has jumped out nicely between runs and is capable of running well on the fresh side from the inside draw. SUN GIFT will need some luck from the draw but will be strong late. Selections: 10,8,9,2 Suggested Bet: Oxford Blue each way Market Market
