Scott Embry’s Sunday Narrogin Preview Posted on March 28, 2025March 28, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KARNUP QUEEN ran fourth behind Magna’s Choice on debut in a 3 year old 0MWLY at Belmont Park and then ran third beaten under a length to Helluva Goddess at her second career outing. This is great placement into a maiden handicap at Narrogin and if she can overcome the tricky barrier she’ll be right in the mix. LONGTIMEBELIEVER has trialled up super for her return to the races and after the Rocky claim is only 53kg. MAZE MASTER is going well for Anthony Barton. MIGHTY MELBA a watch for the new stable. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – KARNUP QUEEN WIN RACE 2 ENDLESS JOY bombed the start at Geraldton and did a good job to still finish third and then second-up was put into the race over 1720m by Kyra Yuill and only peaked late when beaten by Snipperando (since won a Class 1 race at Albany). Tash Faithfull gets back on and she look hard to beat here. MOLLYS MY PAL is going well and if she jumps can lead. LYN’S STAR went around on Thursday at Albany. If she backs up she’ll have admirers. ORENJI has been up and down in distance this prep. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – ENDLESS JOY WIN RACE 3 HEAPS OF MOOLAH and ZERA BLUE are both last start winners and have both found a very winnable race again here. HEAPS OF MOOLAH won a 52+ 1720 and it turned into a ‘last man standing’ type of affair with the speed turned on from start to finish. That should put him in good stead for this 1900m test. ZERA BLUE put the writing on the wall two back and then got the job done well under the urgings of Keshaw Dhurun. Can win ZB. HENRY HAS SPOKEN wasn’t bad behind Playing Games in a far stronger race last start. MISS ANONYMITY an improver at odds. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – HEAPS OF MOOLAH WIN RACE 4 OSCAR CHARLIE has turned a corner since joining Aaron Pateman. He’s happy to target these country/outer provincial meetings with his gallopers and is being well rewarded. Mt Barker C2 win, Narrogin 46+ win and is on speed and showing toughness. GOOD VIBES continues to knock on the door without winning. Rocky is quickly building in confidence in the saddle. WORK HOME FRONT is 2 from 6 at Narrogin. Some horses love the circuit and she’s certainly one. ELSA’S PRIDE was below her best last start. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – OSCAR CHARLIE WIN RACE 5 LIL CAPRI was good enough first-up from a long way back behind Scenic Boom after missing away. Drawn barrier 1 so hopefully she can hold up a little closer in the run and then get some luck in the home straight. No standouts in this and while it won’t be an easy steer at Narrogin going to side up with her in a weak race. TEABISCUIT will be on a jump and run mission. DELTA ANNE Has been racing consistently throughout her career but does find it hard to win races. Draw is no help either. LAND OF FIRE can surprise a few. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 9 – 10 Suggested Bet – LIL CAPRI WIN RACE 6 SPEED BUBBLE has won back to back races at Narrogin and trucked into it last start for an arrogant and authoritative 3+ length win. ZJP goes on and he drops in weight. Horses for courses and he’s loving Narrogin. PLATINUM SHOT has come back in really good order this campaign. First-up win was solid at Albany but then the second-up run was even better when flooding home late into a narrow third behind So Nataya and Be Bardot who goes around favourite in a 60+ Graduation at Ascot on Saturday. CHOIXWAY has enjoyed a great prep for his new trainer. Winnable for him. LIKE NO OTHER can show a good L600. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – SPEED BUBBLE WIN RACE 7 JOLLY LACE was last seen 27 days ago when running second behind subsequent metro winner Warralea Lass (who goes around again on Saturday in a 62+ at Ascot). She’s seemingly had an interrupted preparation and even though the month between runs is a query it’s hard not to tip her in a really thin race, especially with so many who don’t look like they’ll run the trip? BEERMULLAH can improve back to Narrogin and back to 52+ grade. HOLDOUT can bounce back. TOP OF THE POPS was once a m78. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – JOLLY LACE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3 2,3,5,6,9,10 1,3,4 4,7 Market Market
