Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on March 28, 2025March 28, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 BOSSY NIC may be ideally suited at 1200m but she’s most effective down the straight and will be strong late at 1100m. A LITTLE DEEP is unbeaten to date first up and has jumped out in good style. PONDALOWIE has developed a habit of being slowly away but continues to race well and is a straight track winner. ZASZOU is another to jump out in good fashion to resume. Selections: 2,1,3,6 Suggested Bet: Bossy Nic to win Race 2 PRESTIGE OLE appreciated the step up to 1200m last time and looks suited by a further rise to 1400m. GRINZINGER TUNDRA quickened nicely in his most recent jumpout and gives the impression this trip will suit on debut. POLISH PLAYGIRL held her ground ok in a strong race in Sydney on debut. ZORB was no match for Prestige Ole on debut but should be better for the outing. Selections: 1,6,7,2 Suggested Bet: Prestige Ole to win Race 3 ENCHANTED BY will be fitter for her first up run and appeared to be in the wrong part of the straight there. BEFUDDLE has strung a couple of good 1200m runs together and will give a sight. LANGE NELLE has looked good at the jumpouts and it could be a positive lead kicking off at this level on debut. EETEEDEE endured a tough run in the Showdown and stuck on ok under the circumstances. Selections: 5,1,9,3 Suggested Bet: Enchanted By each way Same Race Multi: Enchanted By (Top 2) + Befuddle (Top 4) Race 4 NDOLA had the race shape against in the Australian Guineas, he’s suited by the drop in grade and has jumped out well between runs. STORM SEASON created a huge impression first up and although Comanche Miss is still a maiden, she has performed well at a much higher level than that. BOSSY BENITA is racing in terrific form and can make her own luck. ATHANATOS is fit and consistent. Selections: 1,9,6,2 Suggested Bet: Ndola each way Race 5 ENXUTO has found a rich vein of from and looks even better suited stepping back up to 1600m as opposed to his last start victory. HELLSING chased well behind Enxuto and gets the better of the weights from that meeting. ARAMCO will strip fitter third up and may pace himself better coming back to 1600m. MUNHAMEK and HOLYMANZ have claims. Selections: 10,11,9,1 Suggested Bet: Enxuto to win Race 6 OAK HILL can get keen but there appears to be decent speed, which should allow him to switch off and hit the line strongly. PISANELLO and SPACEWALK will also appreciate a solid tempo and both handle the straight course. SANS DOUTE will appreciate dropping back from Group 1 company and has impressed down the straight on more than one occasion. MIDWEST impressed winning down the straight last start but is likely to receive more pressure here. Selections: 12,8,2,7 Suggested Bet: Oak Hill each way Race 7 ALABAMA LASS is an intriguing runner, she looks to have an abundance of speed and the Damask Rose form reads well. VESTAS was outstanding down the straight during the spring and has jumped out well to since her Queensland trip. RICH DOTTIE was beaten by a smart one down the straight last start and will strip fitter third up. SWEETHEARTED and FIRST SETTLER both have claims first up. Selections: 6,15,16,5 Suggested Bet: Back 6 save 15 Race 8 Great race. PRIDE OF JENNI the most likely leader, with DENY KNOWLEDGE the most likely to apply any pressure. POJ should be improved by her first up win and obviously hard to get past. ATISHU has a great Flemington record and should be timed to peak third up. ZARDOZI will also be at her top and suited stepping up to 2000m. LIGHT INFANTRY MAN should appreciate the likely strong tempo and gives the impression he’ll appreciate 2000m on a spacious track. MIDDLE EARTH is proven at genuine staying trips and could be one of the best suited by the solid tempo. Selections: 6,7,8,1 Suggested Bet: Pride Of Jenni to win Race 9 DEAKIN looks the one to beat. He’s been kept fresh and jumped out in similar fashion as he did leading into his impressive last start win. BERKSHIRE BREEZE may need some luck from the draw but is a talented stayer that should strip fitter third up. MOSTLY CLOUDY will also strip fitter third up, he races well here and maps for a good run. SMOKIN’ ROMANS may be a bit past his best but there has been merit in his two recent runs and he may be looking for this trip now. Selections: 3,9,6,1 Suggested Bet: Deakin to win Race 10 Tough finish. SUNSET DREAMING has trialled well an brings a decent first up record. MYTEMPTATION my not have been suited on the deteriorating track last week and handled the straight well two starts back. WALLENDA comes back to Melbourne in winning form and has a good record at this trip. FLYING MIKKI may be looking for further but will be charging late. WOLFY, LA DEFENSE and PRINZERRO are among the other winning hopes. Selections: 13,1,8,6 Suggested Bet: Sunset Dreaming each way Market Market
