Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on March 25, 2025March 25, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn. CARDUCCI has jumped out well enough to command plenty of respect on debut. FACILITATE has been freshened since an encouraging debut and jumped out in good style since that effort. PETIT ARTISTE contested a strong race on debut and was far from disgraced. NO LIMITATION has contested some strong races to date and jumped out nicely between runs.. MANSINI PARK is another debutant to look good at the jumpouts. Selections: 2,1,6,8 Suggested Bet: Carducci each way Race 2 Even race. THE SHOWVINIST has been ok so far this prep and should be at peak fitness. TARTAGLIA has been trialling well in Sydney to resume. LANDMARK was competitive with First Settler last campaign and has jumped out in good fashion. WOLFLANDS is race fit and performing consistently in similar races. CARDONE will strip fitter for a solid first up win in slightly easier company. Selections: 7,10,9,2 Suggested Bet: The Showvinist each way Race 3 Another even race. LODBROK stuck on well over this trip last start and maps for a soft run. BLACK PEPPPERMINT and LANDGRAVE come though the same race and have obvious claims. AFFLUENTIAL and STERN IDOL create interest as high class jumpers with enough flat ability to be competitive this grade. Stablemates HIGHLAND BLAZE and MAKE US PROUD are right in the game. Selections: 6,3,4,1 Suggested Bet: Lodbrok each way Race 4 LIBERAMI was beaten by a smart one last start and 1500m on Hillside appeals as a suitable next option. NO FUSS has obvious upside and should also appreciate stepping up to 1500m following an impressive first up win here over 1300m. DIVINE THOUGHTS looks part of the speed and can give a sight. CORONA LAD is another that looks suited by the rise to 1500m. Selections: 5,7,10,3 Suggested Bet: Liberami each way Race 5 PROVED has been obviously well placed to date but she keeps meeting the challenge and gives the impression she’ll cope with 1400m. EXTREME VIRTUE is another progressive mare, she’s jumped out well to resume MATAWAI will be close to her top third up and is consistent, perhaps without the upside of the top two. TEN DEEP is another with upside that has jumped out ok to resume. Selections: 2,1,5,7 Suggested Bet: Proved to win Race 6 STAGE ‘N’ SCREEN didn’t have the best of luck as an odds on fav first up and looks suite stepping up to 1400m. BRONTE BEACH created a good impression on debut and has been jumping out in great style to resume. ALTERMATUM shapes as the key other winning hope following her strong finishing second up victory. BABY HAZEL bounced back to form last start but there’s more depth here. Selections: 1,6,7,4 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples with 1,6 & 7 Race 7 PULA has been solid in her three runs to date, she didn’t have the best of luck last time and maps for a good run. CONCHIERO has trialled well behind Schwarz in Sydney and the form though his runs to date has held up well. HIGH PRAISE found the tight race last time but had shown promise previously and seems suited on the spacious Hillside circuit. BIT OF SHOOSH was impressive winning his maiden on debut and should appreciate dropping back in grade. Selections: 14,2,6,3 Suggested Bet: Pula each way Race 8 KING ZEPHYR is building a handy record and looks the one to beat again. EXTREMELY ROWDY may appreciate some give in the track but ran well first up and will strip fitter. AKICITA was well placed first up but will also strip fitter and has shown the talent to measure up. DIRTY GRIN has been well placed this prep but has impressed winning slightly easier races and maps for a good run. GROUNDRUSH has the wide draw but has jumped out well to resume. Selections: 5,14,13,6 Suggested Bet: King Zephyr to win Market Market
