Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 6, 2025March 6, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 CEE DEE THREE (9) disappointed here last week when he led and was beaten 65 metres in. moderate time. He drops in class tonight and is clearly the one to beat on his previous form if you can get last week’s effort out of your mind. COURAGE OF LOMBO (1) led when a game 2nd at Pinjarra at his last start and should lead and give them something to catch tonight. MYDADTHETERROR (7) has been racing in stronger company and can be in the finish if he has some luck from out here. GHOSTWRITER (3) has been placed in four of his last six starts and should be thereabouts again but doesn’t win too often. Tips: 9 1 7 3 Suggested Bet: CEE DEE THREE (9) to win. Race 2 ALLWOOD MACH (10) is a lightly raced 9YO racing in career best form. He is awkwardly drawn but will be charging home at each way odds if he sees daylight at the right time. HAVEYOUMETTED (5) has won two of his last four starts and has the strength and versatility to be a major player in this class. JAXON MORGAN (7) led when 3rd in a stronger field at his last start and will be hard to beat if he can find the front here. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (8) started from a similar draw when running on to win at his last start and can repeat that performance if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 10 5 7 8 Suggested Bet: ALLWOOD MACH (10) each way. Race 3 VANDERBILT (9) followed two close 2nds at this track with a comfortable all-the-way win at Northam. He is drawn wide here but looks to have a class edge on his rivals and appeals as the one to beat. PRINCESS KATIE (4) was sent out a short-priced favourite here last week but she was crossed from the pole and was always in trouble from that point on. Her previous form was solid and she looks an obvious danger. KOOLBARDI NAVAJO (10) brings very good Albany form to town and can play a part if she has any luck from this barrier. CHAMBRAY (2) will give a sight if she can find the front. Tips: 9 4 10 2 Suggested Bet: VANDERBILT (9) to win. Race 4 JUSTCALLMEMIKI (1) led throughout from this drawn when beating a classy field of 4YO’s at his first start in WA. He quickly rises to open company but will start favourite and is the one to beat. ROCKANDROLLARTIST (10) also rises in class but he is drawn to get a lovely run and looks a good each way chance. HAMPTON BANNER (9) will appreciate this class and he is a brilliant beginner who would prove hard to beat if he can cross at the start. WAVERIDER (5) chased home the favourite last start and will be suited by the likelihood of a more genuine tempo. Tips: 1 10 9 5 Suggested Bet: JUSTCALLMEMIKI (1) to win. Race 5 PENNY BLACK (5) is the form runner of the field and looks well suited by the staying journey. She is likely to be in the breeze tonight but has the strength to prove hard to beat. PEACEFUL (3) is another suited by the longer distance and she will run a big race if she can bully her way to the front in the early stages. ALTA ALLURE (1) has been impressive in winning her last two starts in easier company and the rise in class is offset by the pole draw. WONDERFUL TO FLY (7) had her chance first-up but she is suited by the small field and will be finishing strongly. Tips: 5 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: PENNY BLACK (5) to win. Race 6 CYCLONE JORDY (4) has won all three starts in WA including a dominant Golden Slipper victory and a comfortable first-up win. He meets some seasoned campaigners here but he should prove too sharp for them. THELITTLE MASTER (9) is racing extremely well and will be charging home and can be dangerous if the favourite doesn’t find the front. NAVY STREET (2) has good gate speed and would be a great place if he could cross the polemarker and sit on the favourite. MEDIEVAL MAN (1) is racing well and can be placed if he can hold a forward position at the start. Tips: 4 9 2 1 Suggested Bet: CYCLONE JORDY (4) to win. Race 7 INSTA GATOR (1) started from the pole but didn’t try to hold out Hillview Bondi when sitting on that pacer and getting over him at Pinjarra two starts back. He will be keen to hold up tonight and will be very hard to beat if that does eventuate. VEGAS STRIP (4) is first-up but has good gate speed and may try to cross in the early stages but is also effective with a sit. STORYTELLER (6) will be the big beneficiary if that pair both contest the early lead and he is a definite winning chance. MAGNUS VICTOR (8) has the form on the board but will need a solid tempo to bring him into calculations. Tips: 1 4 6 8 Suggested Bet: INSTA GATOR (1) to win. Race 8 GREATGREAT BOULDER (4) has galloped away in all three attempts at the stand but he has been losing less ground each time. He managed to balance up and then find the front when winning at his last start and that scenario looks likely here if he doesn’t begin too slowly. IDEAL TOMADO (7) meets the favourite 10 metres better off for a 10m defeat and can turn the tables if he can settle in front of him. STAR CASINO (9) was a gallant 2nd to Spyglass five weeks ago and trialled nicely at Pinjarra recently. LAMANDIER (6) is consistent and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 4 7 9 6 Suggested Bet: GREATGREAT BOULDER (5) to win. Race 9 PATCHED (10) has won three out of his last four starts against similar line-ups and is clearly the one to beat here. CHUMANI (4) is working back into form and will be hard to catch if he can find the front tonight. ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (6) did things wrong at his last start but finished in the placing just behind PATCHED (10) at his previous two starts and can make his presence felt. LINE THE STARZZZ (5) didn’t handle the pole draw at his last start but should be thereabouts. Tips: 10 4 6 5 Suggested Bet: PATCHED (10) to win. Race 10 CIGANDA (6) led when a game 2nd to Bogart before running on to finish a distant 5th to Quintessa here last week. She has the barrier advantage over her main rival and will give a great sight if she can find the front. CHIEF COPY (7) has finished 2nd at his last four starts including a good effort in that Quintessa race last week and is the obvious danger. TELKEM JAY (3) has been racing in stronger company and can be placed here. STARLIGHT SONG (2) could hit the rails and sit on one of the favoured runners but he was disappointing at his last start. Tips: 6 7 3 2 Suggested Bet: CIGANDA (6) to win. Market Market
