Matt Young’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on December 31, 2024December 31, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Wide open race to kick things off, many winning chances. DRIVE LINE (11) has upside but also must overcome a wide draw and plenty of traffic. ALTA KING (8) is on debut but has shown good ability for connections, needs some luck. DIAMOND WORLD (6) has the speed to cross these and then can become each way chance. BROOKVALEGIRL (7) also has the speed to race forward and is going well enough. DAISY JONES (1) has been racing well at the Albany circuit. WALLEN (3) has been consistent. REMARKABLE ROCK (5) needs a touch of luck but is racing well. Could have missed the winner in all of that, genuine head scratcher. Tips: 11 8 7 6 Suggested Bet: DRIVE LINE (11) each way. Race 2 ROAD STAR (2) is a nice type on return, comes up with the perfect draw and should win all things being equal but his trial was only just okay, and he has done things wrong in the past so diving into too short is always a challenge. BUNDEGI BLUE (4) is flying under the radar a bit and looks to more upside, think he will run well. DISPATCHER (8) is a strong place chance from the draw. SPIRITOFANANGEL (3) and SUNDANCER RAINBOW (7) look next best for novelty plays. Tips: 2 4 8 3 Suggested Bet: DISPATCHER (8) to place. Race 3 PETES HONOUR (5) looks to get into this race perfectly, young Lachlan Kennelly chases his first winner, and I think he will get it here, he has good gate speed, good depth and I think he will find the top and from there he should be too good. FREYJA (7) has come in fine order, she was a solid win from the breeze last time out, think she will have to do that again against a better horse this time around. TA IN ADVANCE (1) is ideally drawn and has good place claims. MISS STEFANI (2) is improving and looks a top 4 player. Tips: 5 7 1 2 Suggested Bet: PETES HONOUR (5) to win. Race 4 PRINCESS MICKAYLA (6) will be short but if she goes anywhere like she did last time out, she should be winning this. DIAMOND DANCE (8) is a strong place chance, improving with every run this prep and expecting a strong finish. VYBRANT (5) had the race run to suit last time out but got home well, she can be placed again. SWEET DUNCAN (9) appears to be next best. Tips: 6 8 5 9 Suggested Bet: DIAMOND DANCE (8) to place. Race 5 Good competitive race here. BLAZING REACTOR (5) is a versatile performer and with his high speed I expect him to be able to win this from any position, should go well. BEEN SCOOTIN (8) needs some luck and is coming in fresh over the longer trip, but he is a very nice type who will get the trip and should run a big race. RELLIM (2) and LORD TITANIUM (1) have both had similar preparations and have nice draws, both can figure into the major end of the prizemoney. MISTER PICCOLO (3) is in top form, but this looks just a smidge harder again, place hope. Tips: 5 8 2 1 Suggested Bet: BLAZING REACTOR (5) to win. Race 6 UP AND ALIVE (1) was solid last time out and sprinted home nicely after leading up, steps down in distance against a similar lineup, I think she can get the job done here. CIGANDA (8) looks the main danger and has the perfect draw to stalk the favourite and have the last crack. WAVE REBELLION (3) appears to have upside, ran into some bother then pushed wide on the run home last time out. VICIOUSLY UNKIND (7) next best but has drawn poorly. Tips: 1 8 3 7 Suggested Bet: UP AND ALIVE (1) to win. Market Market
