Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on August 29, 2023August 29, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 LOTTWON resumes gelded and has trialled in good style at Cranbourne and Corowa. RACKEMANN looked promising in his first preparation and has jumped out well to resume at a suitable trip with winkers on . PICKAXE is race fit and could be suited coming back to 1300m. KING OF FIGHTERS did some early work last start and battled on well under the circumstances. Selections: 3,6,5,10 Suggested Bet: Quinella/Exacta: 3 & 6 Race 2 BOND STREET BEAU ran well in a stronger race last time and should appreciate the step up in distance. WANJIRU was well ridden to score last week on the Lakeside circuit, he’s hard fit and obviously racing well. JUKILA also fits the category of fit and racing well. PEARLMAN, MISS VAUGHN and ASTERNISHING have some claims. Selections: 2,1,4,5 Suggested Bet: Bond Street Beau to win Race 3 LA PETITE ANGELE was strong winning at 1210m last start and has jumped out nicely since that victory. She should get a nice run from the draw and 1400m looks suitable. SUBRISING hit the line strongly to score first up and gives the impression she will appreciate stepping up in trip. ENNA’S DREAM also worked through the line in good style to break her maiden last time and the form through her debut looks strong. CHILL THE KRUG comes through some strong form lines in her first campaign and has jumped out ok. CROWN WATERS won well on debut and is in the mix if she brings that form to the turf. Selections: 8,3,6,1 Suggested Bet: La Petite Angele to win Race 4 OUR RED MORNING looks promising, she’s likely to start short but has jumped out impressively between runs and looks destined for much better races. GIRL is racing in good form and maps for a soft run. PASSIONE appears well placed dropping in grade after a freshen. All the other have place claims in an even race outside Our Red Morning. Selections: 5,7,1,4 Suggested Bet: Our Red Morning to win Race 5 STRUCK GOLD is building a handy record and battled on bravely after doing some extra work during the run last start. TARZI CALLING didn’t have much luck at his latest run after atrial fibrillation was detected the start prior. BAROQUE ROAD is hard fit and will make his own luck. RUSSIAN SUMMER has been kept fresh since a luckless run last start and gets winker on. COAST PRINCESS has jumped out nicely to resume and shapes as another key hope in a deep race. Selections: 5,4,2,9 Suggested Bet: 5,4,2,9 & 11 in wide quaddie leg Race 6 SIRIUS BLACK is racing well at this trip and gets winkers on with blinkers coming off. THE CREATOR may control the tempo and was kicking back strongly on the line over 1400m at his latest run. KHANS TREASURE had excuses last time and should be at her top now. RICH DIVINTY beat home Sirius Black last start and has obvious claims. Selections: 7,4,12,6 Suggested Bet: Working around 7,4 & 12 Race 7 RICK’S CAFE ran well first up in a leader dominated race and looks suited dropping in grade and rising in distance. DUVACH measured up well here last time after her maiden victory. ELECTRIC BELLE is going well this preparation and likes racing here. DELICIOUS TYCOON is another mare racing in good form and stays at her favourite trip. DUNALLEY has the wide draw to contend with after getting a dream run last time. Selections: 5,10,1,4 Suggested Bet: Rick’s Cafe each way Race 8 SHOCK ‘EM OVA has plenty of upside and has jumped out well to resume. MAKTOOB is another with plenty of upside and has also been jumping out in good style. ANGRY SKIES improved nicely second up and his early three year old form lines up well here. HE’S THE REAL DEEL races well here and will give a sight on speed. SPEEDTAIL has been impressive in his two synthetic wins but is some query on rain affected ground. Selections: 8,4,10,1 Suggested Bet: Shock ’em Ova each way Market Market
