Warren Huntly’s Saturday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on August 25, 2023August 25, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 THE YEARS resumes gelded and has impressed in a couple of recent jumpouts. He looks ready to go first up. MANSIERRE has a fitness edge on a few and will appreciate the step up to 1200m. AMUR has obvious claims, he’s unbeaten here and has trialled well to resume. PRINZERRO ran ok here first up on a leader biased track. Hard to put a pen through any of the others. Selections: 2,4,1,5 Suggested Bet: The Years each way Race 2 MAWALLOCK looked promising in her first preparation and has jumped out well to resume. THE PRODIGAL SON impressed winning a similar race at Flemington and has tactical versatility. LORD DOMINO can make his own luck from the inside draw. SOCIAL CONSCIENCE beat home Lord Domino here last time, so must have a case. ZOUPURRING has been jumping out well and is in the mix should he gain a start. Selections: 14,9,7,16 Suggested Bet: Working around 14 & 9 Race 3 ROBRICK appreciated the rise in trip and a positive ride to win well last start. EL PODER DEL SOL is on a derby path, he recorded some impressive late sectionals on debut and has been jumping put nicely to resume. FISTOFFURY chased a smart older galloper first up and should appreciate the rise in trip. RIPROAR ran well without the best of luck at his first Australian start and will strip fitter. SURPRISE COMING, SUNSOURCE and AMBASSADORIAL have claims. Selections: 3,9,2,6 Suggested Bet: Robrick to win Race 4 HENNESSY LAD looks ready to win and strikes a suitable race from a good draw. HE’LL RIP had the pattern in his favour last start but appeared to run 1600m out strongly. He’s jumped out well between runs. IMA SHELBY won well first up and is undefeated second up. CRACKERJACK PRINCE found the right part of the track at his latest run but looks competitive again. Selections: 7,14,1,6 Suggested Bet: Hennessy Lad to win Race 5 Competitive race. BAINBRIDGE is a tough on pacer who should be at peak fitness. MAGNASPIN is unknown beyond 2040m and had the bias in his favour last start, but he can make his own luck and has jumped out strongly between runs. MEINER LEGACY is still on the up and will appreciate the rise in distance. WUDDZZ is fit, consistent and maps for a soft run. PEARL RAIN, FERAGO, STRAWBERRY ROCK, ZAYNUDIN and ORBITAL EXPRESS are in the mix. Selections: 4,7,10,5 Suggested Bet: Bainbridge each way Race 6 INHIBITIONS has trialled well since an encouraging first up run and should get a nice run from the draw. ETHEREAL STAR has been competitive in stronger races and has been jumping out in good style to resume. HELL QUEEN has also been jumping out/trialling well, she will just need some luck from the draw. BEAUTY RISING looked good in her first campaign and has been jumping out ok. Selections: 3,1,4,9 Suggested Bet: Inhibitions each way Race 7 BRAYDEN STAR is racing in terrific form, he’s been hitting the line strongly and looks suited stepping up to 2040m. DEEPSTRIKE ran well here last time and stays down in the weights. FUTURE HISTORY improved nicely at his second Australian start and has jumped out well between runs. MASERARTIE BAY should be close to peak fitness and may control the tempo. JIMMY THE BEAR is on trial at the trip but is hard fit and won well last week. INTERPRETATION was in the right part of the track first up but will strip fitter and is suited by the rise in trip. Selections: 6,5,7,8 Suggested Bet: Brayden Star to win Race 8 OMINI MAN comes through a key form race and was held up at a crucial stage in the home straight. ACROMANTULA, SWEET RIDE and ASHFORD STREET come through the same race and all have claims. GENERATION generally fires first up and has been jumping out well. HYPOTHETICAL is another with a decent first up record, she has been trialling/jumping out in typically good fashion. Selections: 8,7,1,4 Suggested Bet: Omni Man to win Race 9 DENY KNOWLEDGE was a late scratching from a G2 race last week with a skin irritation but according to the stable has fully recovered. She has been jumping out well and should give a great sight. ST LAWRENCE has a great winning habit and having his runs spaced seems to work well for him. FRENCH EMPEROR has been below his best at his last couple but J.Kah going on may help him get back to his previous form. REGARDSMAREE chased a strong tempo last start and should be at his top now. JUNIPAL has claims. Selections: 6,7,5,11 Suggested Bet: Deny Knowledge each way Race 10 SUPARAZI strikes a strong race but has been trialling/jumping out in great style and seems big odds in early markets. GRINGOTTS is building a good record and has plenty of upside, he’s also been jumping out well. RED HOT NICC and NAJEEM SUHAIL have shown their customary dash in recent jumpouts and may prove hard to get past. MAXIMILLIUS resumed with a strong first up win and should stalk a strong tempo. Selections: 8,11,5,4 Suggested Bet: Suparazi each way Market Market
