The Scout: Women’s World Cup Matchday 19 Posted on August 8, 2023August 8, 2023 | Posted by The Scout Round of 16 (4) Colombia v Jamaica Colombia’s defeat to Morocco came as a surprise but it didn’t stop them qualifying for the last 16 as group winners. Manuela Vanegas misses the game through suspension meaning Daniela Caracas could start. Linda Caicedo remains their biggest threat and one of the most exciting players in the tournament playing off the left wing. Jamaica are one of the feel good stories of the World Cup and have already exceeded expectations. Khadija Shaw is yet to score but is their outstanding player. The Reggae Girlz have yet to concede a goal, thanks in large part to sisters Allyson Swaby and Chantelle Swaby at the back. Colombia to win @ $2.10* France v Morocco France have grown into the tournament after a questionable start and will expect to progress to the quarter finals. Captain Wendie Renard and key striker Eugenie Le Sommer return to the team having been amongst a group of five players rested for the final group game. Defender Maelle Lakrar is doubtful due to a thigh issue. Morocco have done remarkably well to reach the last 16 considering they lost their opener 6-0 to Germany. However, two wins makes them the first Arab side to reach this stage of the World Cup. Nouhaila Benzina and Hanane Ait El Haj were brilliant in defence against Colombia and will need to be rock solid again. Captain Ghizlane Chebbak is another important presence in the team. France to win @ $1.15* Multi Colombia – Win Colombia v Jamaica – Total Goals Under 3.5 France – Win France v Morocco – Eugenie Le Sommer (France) To Score @ $4.28* *Odds correct as at 9am, 8th August 2023.
