Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 27, 2023March 10, 2023 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 NORTHEAST EAGLE ran on Thursday in a 2100m 54+ at Belmont Park when carrying 58kg and finishing only half a length off Django Dream and Masaru (with winkers on). Ran the second fastest L600 and if he does go round on Sunday he’ll be on a 3 day back-up and carries the same weight in a maiden as he did in the 54+. If he starts he’ll have admirers. ZANZIBAR is double accepted for a 66+ on Saturday at Ascot and this 2200m maiden. He looks like an out and out stayer who will run them into the ground in one of these maidens in the near future. Green and raw but would run 3200. OCEAN AVENUE has been slowly but surely improving into the campaign and most of Bob’s horses stay to a degree. DENTED ROMANCE continues to whack away. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – NORTHEAST EAGLE WIN RACE 2 BORN AND BREAD has the invaluable straight 1000m experience and looked home last start before fading in the final 50m when swamped by impressive debut winner Rockaria and just held out talented maiden filly Desert Nymph. Has speed and at her third run of the preparation should be peaking. Nice opportunity for her. JUST SO SASSY was blisteringly quick at Belmont when clocking 23.05 in her 400m jump out. She’ll jump and run and hug the outside fence. QUEEN TIFFANY will have a following on debut after two impressive all the way trial wins at Lark Hill. Looks race ready. NAUGHTY GOSSIP trialled nicely behind Too Dardy who went close on Thursday. Numbers: 6 – 8 – 10 – 9 Suggested Bet – BORN AND BREAD WIN RACE 3 BIG SPIDER has got us each preparation with impressive trials making ground under little riding. He has raced very greenly so far and looks to be finally putting it all together. Last start he was searching for clear running from on straightening until finally getting to the outside of runners with 200m to go. Was doing his best work late and through the line. He’ll likely go back and look for cover and in a moderate race expecting they’ll get home down the centre. PRIX D’AMOUR is drawn out there with him and she looks to be quickly building towards a win. Went back in trip last start and still ran well enough. HOT RHUMBA hasn’t had much luck so far and the lead is up for grabs in this. DIAMOND SCENE likely needs further. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – BIG SPIDER WIN RACE 4 SHE’S FIT had absolutely no luck on debut when hitting a brick wall of horse flesh in the home straight. Was immediately tipped out for a spell and resumes here off the back of a very quiet trial effort. She’s likely to get a fair way back but looks to have something to offer. HOT CHATTER finished 3L off Selby Park first-up from barrier 1. Should get an identical run here and the form has held up nicely with two subsequent winners in Fine Touch and Fleur Delacour coming through that event. SECRET ATTIRE found herself in the breeze second-up and then was left in front a long way from home when the leader compounded. Wasn’t that bad. DENZOE is going very well for a 22-start maiden. Numbers: 11 – 7 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – SHE’S FIT EACHWAY RACE 5 JURUENA GOLD was stiff not to win a race last campaign. Finished fourth behind Miss Drakova fresh when settling a mile off them in running, finished a luckless second at his second-up run when lucky to stay on his feet in the home straight and then finished second to Bonjoy to finish his preparation. Trialled nicely and gets every chance from the inside. PRO LATTE is the half-sister to Triple Missile and was doing her best work late in her most recent trial. DIGITAL MISS has put in two rippers this campaign. ALTOMEGA finished off really well for a 100-1 pop last start. Numbers: 7 – 13 – 11 – 8 Suggested Bet – JURUENA GOLD WIN RACE 6 ROCKARIA is drawn on the ‘wrong’ side of the Pinjarra Straight but his debut win this track and distance was sublime. He gunned down Born And Bread and matched motors with Desert Nymph in the process. Only rises half a kilo after the Brayden Gaerth claim and if he gets a half decent run into it, he’s very dangerous late. BUTTERFLY HOUSE goes well down the straight and should get a nice run midfield with cover. RAKIURA and ELEMENTARY HOLMES are both quick and can set a strong speed out in front. Always respect those who have run well down the straight previously. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – ROCKARIA WIN RACE 7 REBELZONE vs MADAM KISSES looks the race on paper. REBELZONE finished second to Karalee Rocks, second to undefeated filly Rear Admiral and then was caught three wide throughout chasing a hot tempo (overall race time 3.5L faster than average) carrying 59.5kg when smashing in late betting. Thought she did a super job to stick on for sixth and she’s a winner on the Pinjarra Scarpside. MADAM KISSES has had no luck this campaign and has run eye catching races in each of three starts. She’s still yet to win outside the 1000m straight but that looks only a matter of time. Finally drawn a gate. Obvious danger. THE ANVIL ran well down the straight fresh. ASTRO WARRIOR hasn’t fired a shot yet this prep. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – REBELZONE WIN RACE 8 ALL THE KING’S MEN and SAINTORIO are proven at this level, VALSASSINA, GODDESS OF GIVING and FEELS PLAYFUL look like measuring up at this level and ALASKALOT and others have huge X-Factor about them. Cracking Breeders’ Classic. ALL THE KING’S MEN was a tough watch first-up in a 1200m when zigging and zagging his way home through serious traffic. Better suited to 1400m and can be ridden to the pattern. SAINTORIO has beaten him home in the WA Guineas and Lee Steere Classic and only concedes him half a kilo from both encounters. He’s a little ripper. VALSASSINA has flashed huge potential in two dominant wins this preparation. GODDESS OF GIVING can track into it along the fence. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – ALL THE KING’S MEN WIN RACE 9 MISS INTENTION has turned a corner and turned into a bit of a Pinjarra specialist. Yet to fully ‘prove’ herself on the Scarpside but her last start effort in a C5 1600 behind Wise Counsel was excellent when again running some slick closing sections. Holly Watson knows and rides her well and if she’s within striking distance on straightening she should make her presence felt. Likely goes round eachway given her pattern and career strike-rate but she’s going undeniably well. JAY DEE should nearly lead these and can give a kick. WUNDERKIND has been racing with great consistency this preparation. MIDNIGHT MYSTERY looks like she’s just about ready to peak. Numbers: 4 – 11 – 12 – 7 Suggested Bet – MISS INTENTION EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 3,5 2,4 1,2,4,7,10,11 4,7,11,12 Market Market
