The Scout: World Cup Matchday 7 Preview Preview, 26 Nov Posted on November 26, 2022November 26, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Group D – Tunisia v Australia Tunisia looked good in their 0-0 draw against Denmark, backed by a fan base of around 30,000 people. Wahbi Khazri, who didn’t feature in that game, returns to the fold. It’s make or break for Australia following their drubbing at the hands of France, and coach Graham Arnold needs to bring his side out of their shell. While he’s unlikely to make wholesale changes, we could see more of Jason Cummings, Garang Kuol and Jamie Maclaren in this one. Nathaniel Atkinson misses through injury. Australia need at least a point to stay alive in the group but will fall short in a narrow defeat. WIN Tunisia @ $2.05* Group C – Poland v Saudi Arabia So often the hero, Robert Lewandowski turned villain when he had a spot kick saved in the 0-0 draw with Mexico. If he isn’t scoring, it’s hard to see where Poland’s goals will come from. Striker Arkadiusz Milik is an option. Saudi Arabia know that a positive result in this game could put them through the knockout stage, but they will be without Yasir Al-Shahrani who had jaw surgery after a sickening clash against Argentina. Captain Salman Al-Faraj is a doubt following his early exit due to injury. Herve Renard’s side surprised everyone last time out and are good enough to pick up at least a point here. DRAW @ $3.50* Group D – France v Denmark Once France found an equaliser against Australia, they oozed class and could’ve scored more than 4 goals. However, Lucas Hernandez’s tournament is over due to a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). Meanwhile, Denmark rode their luck a bit against Tunisia and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was in fine form. Key midfielder Thomas Delaney has been forced to withdraw from the tournament having sustained a knee injury so Mikkel Damsgaard or Jesper Lindstrom could get the nod to start. With Kylian Mbappe in stunning form, France will win again and cement top spot in the group. WIN France @ $1.78* Group C – Argentina v Mexico A shellshocked Argentina need to bounce back from the loss to Saudi Arabia. With an aging forward line that includes Lionel Messi, Papu Gomez and Angel Di Maria, the South Americans faded badly, and the temptation could be to go with a younger option in Julian Alvarez from the start. Mexico registered twice as many shots as Poland in their 0-0 draw but had to rely on goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to bail them out with a penalty save. Striker Raul Jimenez continues to work his way back to fitness but is likely to be used off the bench again. DRAW @ $3.90* *Odds correct as at 9am, 26th November 2022. Market Market
