Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 7, 2022July 7, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 HILLVIEW BONDI (1) has disappointed at his last two starts after being placed in his first nine starts this time in. He has endured some tough runs but is clearly the one to beat if he can show his best tonight. MASTER LEIGHTON (6) is a last-start winner and should be thereabouts if he can get the right trip from his awkward barrier. MASTER PUBLISHER (7) won here three starts back and has finished just behind the placegetters at his subsequent runs and can play a part. STAR ARMBRO (10) looks a place chance from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 3 4 6 10 Suggested Bet: HILLVIEW BONDI (1) to win. Race 2 FANCI A DANCE (11) faced the breeze when a solid 3rd in a similar field here last week and appeals as the one to beat. RUPERT OF LINCOLN (10) finished 2nd in that event and will be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. ALTA RHETT (3) did lead throughout here back in March and will give a sight if he finds the top. PRADASON (7) overcame a wide barrier to finish 4th here last week and must be respected. Tips: 11 10 3 7 Suggested Bet: FANCI A DANCE (11) to win. Race 3 RAGAZZO MACH (2) was placed in his first three starts this time in and then couldn’t make up ground in a 55.6 half here last week. He is drawn to be prominent throughout and should prove hard to beat. DOMINUS FACTUM (1) had no luck in that event but led throughout first-up and has options from the draw. CAVEMAN (4) faced the breeze and beat home RAGAZZO MACH (2) here last week and won’t be far away. SHADOW ROLL (10) is racing well and comes right into calculations if the polemarker holds up at the start. Tips: 2 1 4 10 Suggested Bet: RAGAZZO MACH (2) to win. Race 4 MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) has faced the breeze and recorded impressive victories at his two runs back from a spell and is clearly the one to beat. JUMPINGJACKMAC (1) had excuses when he led and finished a disappointing 5th to MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) before bouncing back here last week and will give them something to catch tonight. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (2) finished hard when 2nd to JUMPINGJACKMAC (1) and is capable of causing an upset from this draw. CHICAGO BULL (6) is drawn poorly but won’t be far away. Tips: 5 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: TO FAST TO SERIOUS (2) each way. Race 5 THE GOOD LIFE (1) has been an impressive winner of his last two starts and should lead here and prove very hard to beat. AL GUERRERO (10) warmed up for this with a nice Pinjarra trial win and is drawn to get a perfect run in transit. ORLANDO BLUE (3) raced well last time in and should settle close to the speed here. ROBBIE ROCKET (2) is always dangerous with the right run and should be thereabouts. Tips: 1 10 3 2 Suggested Bet: THE GOOD LIFE (1) to win. Race 6 PATCHED (1) has won his last three starts in emphatic fashion and is clearly the one to beat after coming up with the pole draw. BEEFOUR BACARDI (6) has won all three of his starts this time in and is the obvious danger. SON OF A WHIZ (2) did defeat PATCHED (1) four starts back and has finished 2nd to BEEFOUR BACARDI (6) at his last two starts and won’t be far away. MAJESTIC DREAM (5) faced the breeze when a distant 2nd to BEEFOUR BACARDI (6) at his last start and should be thereabouts. Tips: 1 6 2 5 Suggested Bet: PATCHED (1) to win. Race 7 WHOS THE DAD (1) overcame a backline draw to defeat a similar field at his last start and is the one to beat after coming up with the pole draw here. GOODFELLAZ (7) ran a gallant 2nd in that event and looks the main danger but is drawn poorly. LOUCID DREAMS (4) was unlucky when held up in that race and will be charging home. ARMA XFACTOR (3) faced the breeze and finished midfield in the same event and can play a part with a better run in transit. Tips: 1 7 4 3 Suggested Bet: WHOS THE DAD (1) to win. Race 8 INFINITE SIGN (12) has won four of his seven starts this time in and hasn’t been disgraced in his last two starts where he has been unplaced in stronger fields. He is drawn poorly tonight but that is offset by the drop in class and he should give a great sight. FLYING RUMOUR (4) led throughout to win his only race start and looks the obvious danger. FOLLOW THE MUSIC (1) is racing well and has the pole draw but goes up in class here. SEVEN NO TRUMPS (11) ran a good 4th here at his last start and has a nice trailing draw. Tips: 12 4 1 11 Suggested Bet: INFINITE SIGN (12) to win. Race 9 WONDERFUL TO FLY (5) has won 17 of her 27 career starts including her last six on end and will be extremely hard to beat again. ACHARNE GIRL (4) ran a close 2nd to In The Spotlight in 1.55.9 here last week and is the obvious danger. CATCH THE RED EYE (2) has been battling bad barriers of late but looks an improver tonight. VALHALLA MISS (1) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 5 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: WONDERFUL TO FLY (5) to win. Race 10 LAVRA JOE (3) resumed from a year’s absence with a solid 1.55.8 all-the-way victory and will strip fitter for that effort. BEAT CITY (1) doesn’t have the class of the favourite but is race fit and has options at the start. WILL I ROCKNROLL (2) hit the line nicely when 3rd to LAVRA JOE (3) here last week and should enjoy a similar run tonight. BLITZEMBYE (4) didn’t handle the stand last week but won’t be too far away here. Tips: 3 1 2 4 Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (3) to win. Race 11 BETWEEN TWO THORNS (6) has plenty of ability but has disappointed at her last two starts when she hasn’t raced tractably. She has had three weeks between runs and is worth another chance. SPIRITOFANANGEL (3) has been placed in her last three starts in similar company and should be thereabouts again. AUGUST MOON (2) raced well last time in without winning and has warmed up for this assignment with a recent Byford trial win. OUR LILILOU (1) is an improving type and has the benefit of the pole draw. Tips: 6 3 2 1 Suggested Bet: BETWEEN TWO THORNS (6) to win. Market Market
