Race 2 – No. 2  Submariner

Record poor from this draw with just the lone placing from seven attempts but he has rarely been far from the action in recent times and should relish a return to the 490m. Strong winning hope.

Race 6 – No. 2  Stanga Bull

Back in winning form with a BON 27.62 win last week when overcoming some light traffic congestion. Drawn much better for this and can go on with the job now.

Race 9 – No. 3  Sozin’s Azzurri

Held MONAGRILLO (7) at bay last week when leading all the way in a smart 22.87. Has the draw advantage this time and should take plenty of catching again.

Each Way:

Race 11 – No. 5  Fire Fly Ted

Prominent throughout in  a Chase heat when only beaten a length then exploded from the boxes in the final and was on speed early before finding trouble and finishing at the rear. Will find this more to his liking and an upset looms.

Race 3 – No. 1  Exhilarate

Has had to contend with awkward draws in all three runs so far and has been luckless at his past couple. Will appreciate the red rug and should be able to make amends in this.

Race 5 – No. 8  West On Brae

Has been brilliant since returning, taking out a heat and the final of The Chase series over 405m at Mandurah. Unbeaten from this draw and he is a winner in 12 of 17 over the trip. A high chance of a hat trick here.

Race 11 – No. 8  Cascade Monelli

Back in winning form when powering past leader and kennelmate Foxtrot Monelli late in the piece over 520m last start. Looks as though she’ll appreciate the rise in distance and an upset would not surprise on debut at the trip.

Race 2 – No. 1  Rippin’ Willy

His only win over the trip was in Maiden company on debut. found some form last start when leading everywhere but the post over 520m and with his good record from this draw, he can feature in the finish again.

Race 7 – No. 2  Bamsy’s Boy

Strike rate from this draw not all that flash but he does drop significantly in grade and was a winner four back defeating a smart line up. Can bounce back to his best with a solid getaway.

Race 10 – No. 8  Starlight Gina

Yet to win from a wide draw and she has been mixing form of late but she has been keeping much stronger company than this and should be able to rebound to the top of the podium here.

Race 11 – No. 3  Asher Leigh

A multiple winner at the track over the 405m and he also saluted in his only attempt over the short journey when prominent throughout at the Cannington 275m. Found a bit of form with a last start 2nd and this is no tougher. Capable of going all the way.
