Scott Embry’s Saturday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 12, 2021November 12, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KING KASHOO met with a large amount of late support on debut and finished sixth beaten 3.5L. The quinella from that maiden Pray Again and Market Stryke both look handy, as does the third horse Westriver Miracle. 54kg after Victoria Corver’s claim and should only benefit from the outing. ETHAN comes from a race which has produced The Lady Is A Vamp, Frigid and Lets Galahvant as subsequent winners. Handy form references for a Geraldton maiden. BE SEATED beat home impressive Wednesday Ascot winner Galactic Storm last start. Reproduces the effort and is in the mix. IELANDER is never far from the action. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – KING KASHOO WIN RACE 2 MELWOOD COAST has always shown glimpses of ability and this looks one of his better chances of finally breaking through. Last time out finished fourth in the same race that King Kashoo finished sixth and was impressive hitting the line. If that form holds up relatively well in the opener then he looks the one to beat in race 2. THE CHASER has been excellent this preparation so far. Last time out ran second in a C1 behind Billy Jack. Now drops back into a maiden. Has to be hard to beat off that. ARTIE rarely runs a bad race and bas a barrier and a claim to be put into the action. WINGSONMYFEET ran well fresh. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – MELWOOD COAST WIN RACE 3 ISOLA BAY should be far too slick and classy for her rivals. Undefeated at trials at Lark Hill this time in, winning back to back 400m jump outs and then a 950m trial (in a 0-71 ratings trial, not a maidens trial) meaning that every horse she beat home in that trial were winners of races. Drawn to lead, has the claim for Victoria Corver and should show them a clean set of heels from start to finish. COCOBOMO is a Nicconi mare on debut who trialled up well at Belmont on Monday. Showed speed and showed ability. Logical danger. DEMERITS PRIDE did it pretty tough last start and Ash Maley goes for the claim. DARK PEAK one to follow as they step up in distance. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – ISOLA BAY WIN RACE 4 HIGH PRECISION was slow into stride first-up when missing away by at least 1 or 2 lengths and settling at the rear early. Really attacked the line well from a long way off them behind Type Won, Reaction and Elite Time and hopefully with a set of shades she can improve again and be hard to beat. PASSPORT really caught the eye last start. Drawn awkwardly and not an easy steer for Taj Dyson but he’s getting the opportunities he deserves through Hammarquist. ROYAL WHISPER actually has some reasonable form coming into this. SHECKY RED had a great campaign when last in work, winning two races as an older type. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – HIGH PRECISION WIN RACE 5 KENYLUCK just keeps getting the job done. He’s at the point now where he is about to be handicapped out of Geraldton racing which is a shame considering how good he has been for Allan Hughes and the grey’s Punters Paradise Utakarra following but hopefully he can lump 61kg and pick up one more win before being forced to town. DANCE COCKEY is drawn outside of him and will likely come across with him into a prominent position. NURHACI should have the drop on them and with the big weight pull he looks well placed to strike late if they get leg weary. QUALITY FAIR put in an uncharacteristic shocker last start. Unlike him. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – KENYLUCK WIN RACE 6 STATE PROSECTUOR hasn’t won a race in years but he has been building to a race like this and is finally down low enough in the ratings for a very patient Garry Delane to sneak him back into these 58/56+ races. Gets out to 1900m to suit, gets back into this grade to suit and showed last start that he’s ready to win with a strong finishing effort behind Megadon and Red Epic. PERSISTENCE TIME ran a ripper first-up from a long break. Hadn’t been seen since August of 2020 and beat half of them home in a C5 fresh. Come back well. BILLY JACK steps out again in trip and finally won another after promising a lot early. CIRCLE THE SUN is a stayer and Victoria Corver has a big book. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – STATE PROSECUTOR WIN RACE 7 WARM ‘N’ FUZZY is in a rich vein of form. Ran back to back second placings to Savage One who looks like he’ll measure up in town next time Adam Durrant sends him to the races and relished him not being in the race last start when romping home. Has to reproduce it from an awkward draw and importantly without Jett Stanley’s claim which makes it a lot harder. SIGNIFICANT HERO descended upon them fresh. It was an enormous win from absolutely no where. Has always been a fresh horse, now he needs to reproduce it. DELAGO DEHERO has returned to racing well and is bursting to find the right race. Worth following. SUN POWER is a strong on pace type. If it turns into a slog he’ll be up for the fight. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – WARM ‘N’ FUZZY WIN RACE 8 TRICKY TRIX got under the guard of most fresh and won really impressively. Was only a C1 and the form hasn’t exactly held up through Rain God since, however, she reproduced it last start in a C2 when getting a long way out of her ground and really attacking the line with purpose. Hopefully from a slightly better draw she can hold a position and if she doesn’t have too much traffic in front of her she’ll be very hard to hold out. KIDLAT is an intriguing runner. Jess Bain rode him herself at Landor with 71.5kg. Forget that it’s just a fun fact, the Lismore/Ballina form for the previous yard is pretty handy for a race like this. AEROLITE is worth forgiving from last start. Prior was very good. QUAN ran well at Ascot on Cup Day. Numbers: 7 – 12 – 11 – 5 Suggested Bet – TRICKY TRIX WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,4,7 1,4,5,6 1,2,3,4 5,7,11,12 Market Market
