The Scout: Wednesday NBA Best Bets Posted on March 23, 2021March 23, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Denver Nuggets @ Orlando Magic The Nuggets (25-17) have won 8 of their last 10 games and look to continue their run against a Magic (14-28) side that is struggling. Denver have started to heat up off the back of MVP favourite Nikola Jokic. The Joker’s unique style makes him the ultimate example of a player that makes everyone around him better. Jokic has incredible awareness and passing ability combined with a soft touch and leads the Nuggets in points, rebounds, and assists. Averaging 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists per game, the Serbian is a triple-double threat every single time he comes onto the floor. With 11 triple-doubles for the season, Jokic does whatever is needed to win games, and against a weak Orlando Magic has the opportunity to record another one here. Suggested Bet: Nikola Jokic Triple-Double @ $3.60* Phoenix Suns @ Miami Heat The Suns (28-13) have been impressive this season and sit 2nd in the West while Miami (22-21) have struggled, losing three straight matches. Chris Paul has been the missing piece to the Suns and his leadership and experience has transformed the team. Paul’s court vision and passing has opened up the game further for young stars Devin Booker (25 ppg) and Deandre Ayton (14ppg / 10 rebs). Miami’s struggles have been largely due to the lack of offensive contributions outside of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. The Heat’s shooters Robinson, Herro and Olynyk have struggled and as a team in their last three games they have shot a miserable 24% from three. Phoenix have far too many weapons and a strong individual night from Devin Booker could see Miami struggle to compete. Suggested Bet: Phoenix (Head to Head) @ $1.94* Brooklyn Nets @ Portland Trail Blazers The Nets (29-14) have won 7 of their last 8 while the Trail Blazers (25-17) have won three of their last four. With Kyrie Irving out for personal reasons and James Harden questionable with neck soreness the Nets are already up against it while Portland is returning to full strength with CJ McCollum recently returned. Brooklyn can afford to drop a game but Portland cannot, the West is too congested. With their deadly back-court of Lillard and McCollum back together they have enough firepower to sink the Nets with or without Harden. Suggested Bet: Portland 11+ (Margin) @ $3.20* *Odds correct as at 6pm, 23rd March 2021. Market Market
