Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 11, 2021March 11, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 MIGHTY CONQUEROR (4) is a WA Pacing Cup winner who resumed from a spell with a strong 3rd in the Pinjarra Cup after facing the breeze and looks to have a class edge on his rivals tonight. STROKE OF LUCK (1) trailed Texas Tiger when a solid 2nd to that pacer last week and will be prominent from the pole. SIMBA BROMAC (2) ran a nice 4th in that event and is drawn better tonight. CHIAROSCURO (3) hit the line nicely when 3rd in the same race but has an awkward draw here. Tips: 4 1 2 3 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY CONQUEROR (4) to win. Race 2 MATAI GEORDIE (5) was impressive in winning three on end and was then heavily backed to win the Pinjarra Cup but copped interference when finishing at the rear. This is a huge drop in class and he is clearly the one to beat. BOOM TIME (3) has battled bad barriers in his three runs back from a spell but is showing enough to be considered here. POCKET THE CASH (4) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts and won’t be far away again. POISEDTOPOUNCE (10) has won his past two starts but goes up in class here. Tips: 5 3 4 10 Suggested Bet: MATAI GEORDIE (5) to win. Race 3 RAKASINC (1) has finished midfield at his two starts back from a break and should be ready to show his best. He has been crossed from this barrier but will be very hard to catch if he can hold up at the start. INFATUATION (3) had excuses for his last effort but must be considered on his previous victory at this track. THOMSON BAY (2) has been flying in Albany and is ready for the step up to metro class. MACHLANI (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be dangerous late. Tips: 1 3 2 10 Suggested Bet: RAKASINC (1) to win. Race 4 EXTRADITE (1) led throughout here in 1.57.5 two starts back and he should lead and give a great sight tonight. ROCK ME OVER (5) is racing extremely consistently and should fight out the finish again. J B MAUNEY (6) raced mainly in stands last time in and resumes without a trial but has plenty of ability so monitor the betting first-up. BLACK JACK ZAC (2) broke through for a well-deserved win here last week and is drawn to get a nice run in transit. Tips: 1 5 6 2 Suggested Bet: EXTRADITE (1) to win. Race 5 BLETCHLEY PARK (1) led throughout to win in 1.52.8 before going for a spell and ran a nice 3rd in the Bunbury Cup at his second start back. He draws to lead here and should prove hard to catch. TEXAS TIGER (5) has been ultra-impressive in winning all five of his WA starts and is ready for the rise in class. MIRACLE MOOSE (2) was an eye-catching 2nd in the Pinjarra Cup at his last start and must be considered from his nice draw. SILENT MAJOR (4) has won his last two starts in easier company and can measure up. Tips: 1 5 2 4 Suggested Bet: BLETCHLEY PARK (1) to win. Race 6 BETTOR FINISH (2) finished strongly when a close-up 5th to Quick Stride here last week. He draws better tonight and drops in class and looks a major player. MANNING (6) will also appreciate this class and looks an improver. DISCO UNDER FIRE (4) has been badly blocked for a run at his last two starts but should see some clean air tonight. IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (3) has finished towards the rear at his last five starts but could have a look for the top tonight and would give them something to catch. Tips: 2 6 4 3 Suggested Bet: BETTOR FINISH (2) to win. Race 7 SUING YOU (2) hasn’t started for nine weeks and hasn’t trialled but won here in 1.56.7 back in December and will be hard to beat if she can reproduce that effort. INTHESKYROCKET (10) has drawn awkwardly but is in good form and will be charging home if she has any luck. WEEWAH (4) has been unplaced at her past four starts but can make her presence felt tonight. BLOCKJORG (7) hasn’t come back with anywhere near her form of last campaign but is too good to overlook. Tips: 2 10 4 7 Suggested Bet: SUING YOU (2) to win. Race 8 GIVE US A WAVE (4) will appreciate a massive drop in class after taking on Lavra Joe at his last two starts and looks the one to beat in this line-up. OTIS (8) did beat GIVE US A WAVE (4) two starts back and must be considered despite the wide draw. ROBBIE ROCKET (2) has a great turn of foot and is always dangerous with the right run. SOUND WAVE (3) beat home all of the horses named above at his last start and is a winning chance with the right run. Tips: 4 8 2 3 Suggested Bet: GIVE US A WAVE (4) to win. Race 9 PAPINIK (4) has won his last eight on end and has scored ultra-impressive victories at both starts after a spell. He is drawn inside his main rival tonight and is clearly the one to beat. ANTERO (6) has won three of his last four starts and is the obvious danger but the barrier has hurt his chances of upsetting the favourite. MR KIWI (5) was a solid all-the-way winner here last week but won’t be finding the top tonight. BLUE BLAZER (2) was blocked for a run at his last start and can be placed. Tips: 4 6 5 2 Suggested Bet: PAPINIK (4) to win. Race 10 BLACK JACK BABY (6) has won nine of her 16 career starts and ran on well when 3rd to Rumour Has It in the Daintys Daughter Classic. She is suited by the small field and is clearly the one to beat. UNCONDITIONAL (5) has won three of her six race starts and looks the obvious danger. OUR SHOOTING STAR (2) led when beaten as a $1.45 favourite at her last start and shouldn’t be far away. JOELENE (3) is a handy filly who can be in the money if she gets the right trip in transit. Tips: 6 5 2 3 Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK BABY (6) to win. Market Market
