Arsenal vs Manchester United

Arsenal (9th) have completely turned their season around, and off the back of their midweek 3-1 away win over Southampton, come up against a Manchester United coming off a shock loss to Sheffield United.

The biggest shift for Arsenal has been their ability to linkup through the midfield and create goal scoring opportunities en masse. They are scoring in bunches with six goals in their last two games.

Alexandre Lacazette has benefited greatly from this reenergised attack with five goals in his last six Premier League appearances. The Frenchman has become the main avenue to goal with Aubameyang out.

I expect we’ll see a lot of back and forth play in this clash with Lacazette presented with plenty of opportunity to cash in on Arsenal’s attacking play.

Southampton vs Aston Villa

A mid-table battle between Southampton (11th) and Aston Villa (10th) with both teams coming into this match off the back of midweek losses.

Aston Villa have conceded seven goals in their last three Premier League away matches while Southampton are coming off losses to Arsenal (3-1) and Leicester (2-0).

Both of these sides are extremely susceptible to counter-attack play with talented attacking players across the pitch; the likes of Danny Ings, Che Adams, Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins.

There is no clear winner in this fixture with the two side matching up quite equally. Southampton are a tough team to beat at home and I think a draw is on the cards here.

Everton vs Newcastle

Everton (6th) are within striking distance of the top four and have a fantastic opportunity to close the gap up against a struggling Newcastle side.

The Magpies (16th) have lost five straight matches in the Premier League and are slipping down the table fast, with relegation a real possibility.

Having lost just once in eight fixtures, Everton has a roster at near-full strength and are deserved favourites against a side that has conceded seven goals in their last three matches.

James Rodriguez looks to be back in form after scoring a fantastic goal against Leicester midweek. His combination with Dominic Calvert-Lewin rivals that of any side in the Premier League when both are fully up and running.

Everton have scored at least once in the first half in five of their last seven matches and look primed to do so again against the lowly Newcastle defense, a side that has scored just twice themselves in five games.
