The Scout: EPL Week 13 Posted on December 16, 2020December 16, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Arsenal vs Southampton Arsenal (15th) haven’t tasted victory in their last five matches (losing four of them) while Southampton’s 3-0 win over Sheffield United has them 4th on the table, just two points shy of Tottenham and Liverpool. Arsenal’s biggest issue (there are several) has been their attack. They are showing very little creativity in midfield, stifling their goal scoring ability. They’ve scored just once in their last five Premier League fixtures. Things are grim. Scoring goals has not been an issue for Southampton who are back to full strength and firing on all cylinders. Their attacking duo of Danny Ings (6 goals) and Che Adams (4 goals) has proven to be a deadly combination. Southampton have lost just one of their last ten Premier League matches and there’s no form line to suggest that changes here. Suggested Bet: Southampton (Match Result) @ $3.30* West Ham vs Crystal Palace West Ham (6th) have flown under and enter this match off a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Leeds. Crystal Palace (11th) have been largely inconsistent but their strong performance against Tottenham at the weekend (1-1) suggests they are on track to better their 14th place finish from last season. The Hammers are playing with confidence and belief – something they’ve lacked in recent seasons. They have won four out of their last five, taking care of teams below them on the table. West Ham have shown a great ability to create goal scoring opportunities from midfield as well as set pieces. Midfielder Tomas Soucek is their form player, scoring in back-to-back fixtures. Suggested Bet: West Ham (Match Result) @ $2.05* Liverpool vs Tottenham The most exciting match of the round sees top of the table Tottenham take on the second placed, defending champions in Liverpool. While both sides are coming off lackluster 1-1 draws, Liverpool have gone eight games without a loss and Tottenham 11. Liverpool have dominated this matchup over the last two years, winning all four encounters. This Tottenham side has a different feeling to it however, and they look to have come of age as a squad. In big games it’s the marquee players who usually step up, and with goals in his last two game, I’m looking to Harry Kane here. Without Virgil Van Dijk, Liverpool do not have a true matchup for Kane. The English striker has a real size advantage over any of the Liverpool defenders making him the most dangerous goal scoring threat by foot and in the air. Kane has nine goals for the season and should get his chance to add to that tally against a Liverpool defense that has already conceded 18 times. Suggested Bet: Harry Kane Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.40* *Odds correct as at 10am, 16th December 2020. Market Market
