Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on June 26, 2020June 30, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 RED DIRT BOY had to work to find the breeze from the wide gate at his most recent. The drop back to 1200 and inside gate look far more suitable and he should be extremely hard to beat. DAVEEDO did everything wrong behind First Strike and still found the line strongly. BRIGHT GLOW a bit like Mitchell Pateman came to Kalgoorlie with some hype around him and is yet to fully deliver. MR Peter Fernie can turn their form around quickly however. HANA JINGLE hasn’t been disgraced in tougher races. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 5 – 11 Suggested Bet – RED DIRT BOY WIN RACE 2 COCKY ED has had plenty of chances and needs everything to go his way to pinch one, but Pateman on from the good gate should see him afforded all the favours. If Krishane Warren doesn’t tip him in the TabForm I’ll eat my hat. ANCIENT REMEDY boasts superior form to today’s rivals but Yuill will have her work cut out from the draw. REDWOOD RANSOM is far more suited in this company. ANGELIC MOON isn’t hopeless and could be the blowout. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – COCKY ED WIN RACE 3 REVEL really turned the corner last time out after a disappointing start to his Goldfields career. He showed a really sharp turn of foot and if he can reproduce that effort, he wins. GALAHS DO ROAR has been a model of consistency since joining Neil Dellar and maps well here. ROSEICAPILLA will enjoy a soft run and has shown enough ability to suggest she can win another. SHESAPOCKETROCKET will go around a big price for a horse with solid Great Southern form. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – REVEL WIN RACE 4 RAPID EYE MOVEMENT looks a horse that can really go through the grades. Cannot fault her runs since joining David Smith and there’s no reason for her not to go mighty close again. MAGIC WILL REIGN runs since joining Peter Fernie are better than they read on paper. More than capable of bobbing up sooner rather than later. WEMBLEY DAYZ shoots across from the wide gate and will be there for a long way. BLACKWOOD RIVER is a chance if he can recapture his best form. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – RAPID EYE MOVEMENT WIN RACE 5 DONT SPEED has been a revelation since teaming up with John Mason and Lucky Ramoly. John Mason has a sensational strike rate and it can improve again with his rejuvenated mare. Freshened up back to 1100 he can stalk a hot speed and finish over the top. HAYAN LAD won the Mayoral Cup stylishly in tougher grade and is extremely well weighted after the claim of Victoria Corver. Very hard to beat. CONCRETE MADAME has stacks of ability but will have to be good to win from the draw. ORACHINO is a mad one for your quaddie. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 4 – 11 Suggested Bet – DON’T SPEED WIN RACE 6 STAR VALUE has been thereabouts in much tougher metropolitan races and this looks superb placement by Dion Luciani. Looks very hard to beat on paper. ALTAMONT is another who will appreciate the drop in class and Neville Parnham historically travels his horses to Kalgoorlie with great success. MAJOR MAMBO and BOOMA LACKA are both tough on speed types who could cause a tongue twister if they fight out the finish. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – STAR VALUE WIN RACE 7 SIGIL broke a one million day drought when dashing away in emphatic fashion in the Northam Traders sprint. He’s clearly not a horse you can back with a great deal of confidence but these tried horses just find lengths when they join MR Peter Fernie. The way he is going he could train Luke Fernie to win the City to Surf. SMARTY has always looked like a horse who will make the grade and her last win suggests she is back to her best. WATTOS FURY has had a faultless preparation and would be competitive in any race he contested. STRATOCREED will win races this season. Whether today is his day remains to be seen. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – SIGIL WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,6,9 2,4,5,11 1,6 1,3,4,5,6 Market Market
