Scott Embry’s Monday Bunbury Preview Posted on April 11, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 SILENT ACT has been a model of consistency throughout her career but has always started short for a filly who doesn’t seem to possess a killer blow. With a 4kg claimer aboard she carries no weight and from the inside she can sit leader’s back and get the better of them. FANDAZZLE was scratched from an Ascot race to save for this easier assignment. BLONDE WARRIOR was a bit stiff at Albany but still a touch disappointing. LOADS OF DREAMS was a better run than it reads first-up. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – SILENT ACT WIN RACE 2 MONG KHON comes from a nice trial behind Whim Creek where all the field have gone well at their race debut. This is not a strong maiden by any stretch and from the gate he should be given every chance to emerge victorious. LIVE FIRE actually ran really well first-up and is sure to go round at a big price. AWAY WE GO has some ability. Was costly to punters late last preparation but good enough to win. VERDIGRAS was not disgraced first-up. Numbers: 4 – 11 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – MONG KHON WIN RACE 3 WHIM CREEK got beaten on debut in a Kalgoorlie maiden but watching the replay did everything but get the job done. The leader was in a different post code to the rest of the field and with one more bound gobbles her up. From the gate should get the job done here. DASH TO VICTORY trialled quite well but didn’t show up on debut. FLYING TRIX is a mad one for novelty players. Not seen for over 400 days but did show ability early in her career. DOMINEER next best. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 13 – 6 Suggested Bet – WHIM CREEK WIN RACE 4 DOC FRIAR is in great form at the minute. Victoria Corver is being given great rides by strong stables early in her career and while 4kg claimers on stayers is normally a big red flat this young lady looks to have it and on recent form this mare should be odds on. REGENT STAR is yet to fire a shot this preparation but can stay. IM A LOVE MAN ran a big race one day with no form when Peter Hall went aboard. Keep safe. THE BLACK WATCH an improver. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – DOC FRIAR WIN RACE 5 OUR GIRL MARLI hit the line hard last time out. Should be just about ready fourth up and does draw a nice gate. FLYING TARGET is admittedly out of form but all the recent runs are against far better opposition than she meets here. With any luck she should be right in the mix. ALMASTER finds a new home. Back on the grass. Keep him safe at a price. HIGH TEA should get it soft and drops in grade. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – OUR GIRL MARLI WIN RACE 6 BURNING MAGIC looks to have found her right race. From the gate expecting her to find the front and actually should get things relatively to her own liking. This is not a deep race and after the 3kg claim she looks well in. CHENERY RED didn’t fire a shot first-up but Jarrad Noske goes on and did have a fruitful campaign when last in work. BOOTLED RASCAL won well last start in a similar grade of race to this. DANEFIN not impossible at a big price fresh. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – BURNING MAGIC WIN RACE 7 BEE QUICK comes out of an Ascot Saturday race which was 3L faster than average when unable to chase down Gates of Babylon. The effort before that was held up entire length of the home straight when bolding beaten behind Sherpa Lass, Kitgum and Guesteen. Previous to that third to Long Beach and Lipstick Flickers. Gets another good chance here. HES A GUN SLINGER was run down by a progressive mare in Solid Azza last start. Suited with the claim. FALION MACHINE can mix her form but finishes off hard at Bunbury. PEPPIJACK almost won a 70+ first-up last preparation. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – BEE QUICK WIN RACE 8 DELANEY is a near impossible mare to catch and now has left Brett Pope’s yard to join Dennis Couper but this is the kind of race where she will get under the radar and run a ripper. She is suited to back marking and if they’re making ground keep her in the back of your mind at double figures. ANGELIQUES FAME ran a big race last start and should get across from a wide alley. ALL SQUARE has the grand stand to carry but is actually really well placed into this race after the claim. MASSA MAC draws a gate and this is a winnable race for him. Number: 5 – 8 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – DELANEY EACHWAY RACE 9 CRISTAL DANE should really relish the drop in grade here and should be winning. Three starts ago beat Solarize and Cockyjoy before heading to town to contest a pair of Saturday races. Finished 7th but within 5L of Celebrity Queen, Tycoon Legend and Wild Front. Solid form to drop back into a race of this nature. MISS MERIT continues to race well without winning. STIRLING ESTATE has dropped out of form but if he produces a run from earlier in the campaign would be going very close. BOYISH leads and runs. Numbers: 10 – 8 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – CRISTAL DANE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – R9) 1,3,5,6,7,12,13 1,2,3,4,7,8 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,12 10 Market Market
