The Scout: NBA Tips Posted on November 12, 2019November 12, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Los Angeles Lakers (7-2) @ Phoenix Suns (6-3) Sitting equal third in a tough Western Conference, the Suns have taken some impressive scalps already this season including the 76ers, Clippers and Nets. They’ve also had two single point losses to Denver and Utah. Aron Baynes has been huge since shifting to the starting lineup. The Aussie centre is averaging 15.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists and has been a huge part of the Suns’ strong start to the season. The Suns are averaging 116.8 points per game with Ricky Rubio (13.6 points and 8.6 assists) proving to be a great running mate for star shooting guard Devin Booker (25.8 points and 5.4 assists). The Lakers have been playing very well but their most recent loss to Toronto leaves questions around the offense. Defensively they are strong, but they still have things to figure out on the other end of the court. An in-form Suns team playing at home, has this looking like one of the bets of the day. Suggested Bet: Phoenix +5.5 (Line) @ $1.88* San Antonio Spurs (5-5) @ Minnesota Timberwolves (6-4) The Spurs and Wolves both opened their seasons with three straight wins, with neither able to maintain that early form. The two teams have polar opposite identities; the Wolves relying on the individual brilliance of Karl-Anthony Towns (or recently Andrew Wiggins), and the Spurs relying on system and team play. The Spurs have the 6th highest scoring bench in the league with veterans Patty Mills and Rudy Gay leading the way. The Wolves have played some great games this season but if opposition sides can curtail Towns, it can make it very hard for them to compete. If there’s any team you want to back to scheme against an opposition player, it’s the Gregg Popovich led Spurs. System to get to the job done here. Suggested Bet: San Antonio WIN @ $2.50* *Odds correct as at 10.45am, 12th November 2019. Market Market
