Deane’s Saturday Flemington Best Bets Posted on May 4, 2018May 4, 2018 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 4 NO. 4 RENEGADE RENEGADE has been racing well for the Tony McEvoy stable that looks a strong winning chance when he contests the Rogan Josh Handicap (1700m). The three year old ran very well from a wide barrier when finishing a solid 3rd behind THINK BLEUE over 1720 metres at Flemington on April 25. He should race much closer to the speed from a better draw and gets the benefit of Zac Spain’s 2kg claim. In a competitive race, RENEGADE looks a good value chance. RACE 7 NO. 8 LAND OF PLENTY LAND OF PLENTY has enjoyed a good preparation since joining the Darren Weir stable and looks the one to beat when he contests the ATA Handicap (1400m). The son of Stratum scored a dominant win over 1400 metres at Bendigo on April 7 before a strong 3rd behind FASTNET TEMPEST over 1400 metres at Caulfield on April 21. He will appreciate the spacious Flemington track and gets the services of in-form rider Daniel Moor. He is destined to measure up to better class races and appeals as the best bet of the day. SuperPick - RACE 7 NO.8 LAND OF PLENTY - Win Boost RACE 9 NO. 1 ICONOCLASM ICONOCLASM is building a fine record and looks the one to beat again when he contests the EJ Didham Handicap (1400m). The son of Toorak Toff has won three of his five starts to date including a tough win over 1400 metres at Flemington on April 25. He looks nicely graded again especially with the benefit of Ethan Brown’s 2kg claim. He faces strong opposition through last start winner LORD SUNDOWNER and it looks a good quinella, however ICONOCLASM can continue on his winning way. Bet Now
