Chris’ Doomben Best Bets Posted on December 29, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No. 5 Crockett Stablemate to last Saturday’s impressive winner Sunlight I liked his effort behind the very smart Ef Troop here a fortnight back. Although never going to challenge the winner he looked good running on into 2nd placing and will be suited by the step up in distance to 1200m tomorrow. The fact there’s no Ef Troop to contend with is also a definite plus! Appeals strongly each-way. SuperPick - RACE 3 No. 5 Crockett - Money Back RACE 4 No. 9 Khalama Mare with a big finish which she’ll need to produce here from the wide draw as she’s likely to give away a big start. In her favour though is the likely hectic speed early on as we have a number of pacy types engaged in the race. Don’t really mind her being draw so far out as she can get to the outside with an unimpeded run down the straight. RACE 8 No. 10 Brazen Moss Track is likely to dry out which suggests this one isn’t as well suited however at a big price he’s still worth an each-way flutter. Kept fresh off a tidy finishing effort here in the Brisbane Handicap 3 weeks ago (race not really run to suit) he should be right at his peak tomorrow at his third run back from a break. Worth a throw at the stumps at a big price. Best Bet Race 3 No. 5 Crockett Best Value Race 4 No. 9 Khalama Quaddie 30% 1, 7, 11, 13 4, 5, 6, 12 3, 5, 10 1, 3, 8 Bet Now
