Big Guns To Fire On Opening Day Posted on October 17, 2017 | Posted by David Shortte To commence the NBA Season TABtouch have come up with a mighty special to get the ball bouncing in season 2017/18. On selected matches place a Head to Head bet and if your team score 90 or more points but go on to lose it’s money back up to $50. On day one the two selected matches are Boston v Cleveland and Houston v Golden State. Boston versus Cleveland gets underway at 8.05am WA time and this should be an entertaining contest. In the off season Boston said farewell to Thomas, Bradley and Crowder but their stocks were bolstered significantly with the inclusions of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. While it may take the talented duo a little while to gel as a combination there is no doubting when they get comfortable together they will be a handful for many opposition defenders. For Cleveland, Irving was a major loss but they have added Isiah Thomas (sidelined due to injury), Derrick Rose, Jae Crowder and Dwayne Wade. The TABtouch market on the match sees Boston as the $2.40 outsider and the home side Cleveland at $1.59. Defending champions Golden State commence their campaign at home playing host to Houston. Given the nature of the special you would expect both sides to go past the 90 point bracket in this one. Last season Golden State led all scorers with an average of 115.9 points per game while Houston were a clear second in the league with an average score of 115.3 points per game. Golden State will again look to their big three of Curry, Durrant and Thompson to pile on the points and they are likely to take some stopping here. The TABtouch Head to Head market sees Houston as a big outsider at $5 while Golden State are a hot favourite at $1.18. Cleveland and Golden State have been the trendsetters over the past two seasons and it looks set to continue in 2017-18. They should both be hard to beat in their season openers.
