Sully’s NRL Preview – Round 17 Posted on June 29, 2017 | Posted by James Sullivan Round 17 commences at ANZ Stadium tonight when the Eels and Bulldogs clash with the Western Sydney rivals both coming off disappointing losses. It’s a season defining clash on the Gold Coast on Friday where both the Titans and Dragons have struggled since Round 8 in only winning two games each. Also on Friday in what is an early preview of what we will be seeing in the finals the Broncos and Storm go toe to toe in front of what will be a massive crowd at Suncorp Stadium. Saturday sees the Roosters heading to the Central Coast on the back of a great comeback victory. They will tackle the Sharks, who are starting to pay dearly for their poor starts in matches. The Sea Eagles and Warriors head West to clash at NIB Stadium with the Sea Eagles boasting a remarkable 6-0 record on the road in 2017. The Warriors will be missing Isaac Luke but they welcome back Kieran Foran and they will be hoping to secure their first victory in WA. It is a pivotal game in the Nation’s Capital when the 11th placed Raiders host the 7th placed Cowboys. A loss for Canberra would leave them right up against it to qualify for finals footy. It’s the clash of the Wooden Spooners in Newcastle on Sunday where the Knights and West Tigers do battle. Despite both sides struggling it is a match in which there should be plenty of points scored. We finish the round back at ANZ Stadium where the Rabbitohs welcome back Sam Burgess to tackle the Penrith Panthers.
