Deane’s Flemington Tips Posted on May 6, 2016May 6, 2016 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Tips RACE 2 NO.8 RIB EYE Progressive middle distance galloper RIB EYE is poised to make a return to the winners stall when he runs in the @FlemingtonVRC Handicap (1800m). The Clinton McDonald trained gelding resumed from a break with a solid second behind JEZABBA over 1400 metres at Sandown on April 27. Whilst he is stepping up in class and distance, the son of Choisir drops 7kg on his last run and looks the likely leader here. It’s a very suitable option for RIB EYE, who appeals as one of the better bets of the day. RACE 3 NO.3 FLEUR FATALE FLEUR FATALE is a recent addition to the all-conquering Darren Weir stable that looks the one to beat in the VRC Member Betty Cummings Handicap (1200m). The three year old resumed from a year off the track with a brave second behind the flying MISS VISTA over 1000 metres at Flemington on April 25. She will take natural improvement from that outing and will appreciate a rise in distance. She looks to have plenty of upside and FLEUR FATALE should prove the testing material in this race. RACE 7 NO.4 LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY The Singapore Turf Club Trophy (2800m) is the last lead up to the Andrew Ramsden Stakes (3200m) on May 21 and looks a good option for LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY to return to winning form. The six year old hasn’t raced since his 3rd behind BERISHA in the Mornington Cup (2400m) on April 2. That is a solid form reference for this race and he strikes a weaker field here. He will benefit from Dylan Dunn’s 2kg and should enjoy a cheap run from barrier 3. Whilst he is not a regular winner, LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY is very honest and should run well again. Bet Now!
