Victoria Cup Night Preview Posted on October 16, 2025October 16, 2025 | Posted by TABtouch Harness racing fans are in for an absolute treat on Saturday night as Melton hosts five Group 1 races across an incredible nine-race card! The team at TABtouch have worked through all the key runners across the Group 1 races, in the hopes we can steer you towards a winner at Melton. R3: Victoria Oaks Final (4:30pm AWST) BEST BET: The punters have come for Soho Americano (9) who boasts the best time over the distance. She’s won 11 of 24 starts and has only missed the money three times over the journey. Looks hard to beat. VALUE: Beach Diamond (8) has won four straight and arrives in the final in the right form. She has beaten the favourite Soho Americano and won by 4 lengths last start. Hard to ignore the form lines at a better price around $5 currently. EXOTICS: 9-8-10-11 R4: Bill Collins Sprint (5:10pm AWST) BEST BET: Whilst the $1.30 currently available doesn’t offer much value, it’s hard to ignore Keayang Zahara (4) who has only tasted defeat once. Won by almost 6 lengths last start from back in the field and is 4/4 at the distance. Clocked the same last lap time as Leap to Fame last start – not bad for a trotter. Hard to beat. VALUE: (9) Parisian Artiste has been impressive in recent times. He won by 7.7 lengths last start as a favourite and has been in the money four times from seven starts at the track and distance. At $2+ for the place, there’s some value if you are steering away from the favourite. EXOTICS: 2-4-9 R5: Victoria Derby Final (5:47pm AWST) BEST BET: Fox Dan (1) has attracted strong market support and after a strong last up win from midfield and hasn’t missed the money from 8 starts at the track (8: 5-2-1). Hard to beat. VALUE: Fate Awaits (11). Two starts at the track for a second and a third placing and has only missed the money thrice from 22 starts. EXOTICS: Same Race Multi – Fox Dan (Win) Fate Awaits (Top 4). R6: Victoria Cup (6:22pm AWST) Western Australian trots enthusiasts will be familiar with some of these key runners as we move a Victorian Cup which features 2024 Nullabor winner Catch A Wave. BEST BET: Leap To Fame (8). He’s currently a $1.75 favourite and for good reason. Whilst Leap To Fame “Larry” was beaten last start in an upset for the ages, he boasts more than $4 Million in prize money and has won 3 from 5 at the distance and is low flying. The champ will be looking to make a statement and get back in the winners circle. VALUE: Kingman (4). Kingman has won his last two on the trot at Menangle and is racing in fine form. Beat a talented horse in Swayzee last start by and whilst stepping up in grade here, has the form to run top three. EXOTICS: 8-4-1-2 R7: Victoria Oaks (6:54pm AWST) BEST BET: Tracy The Jet (3). Another short-priced favourite who has won five in a row going into this Group 1 clash of the titans. Won by 8 metres last start and by almost 9 lengths the start prior. A serious horse! VALUE: Keayang Kurki E/W. Racing well albeit as the bridesmaid running second in its four last performances. Has been beaten by the favourite Tracy The Jet in her last 2 starts and has only been out of the placings twice in 6 starts at the track and distance. EXOTICS: Same Race Multi – Tracy The Jet (Win) & Keayang Kurki (Top 4). *GROUP 1 MULTI: R3: (9) Soho Americano – WIN ($2.40) R4: (9) Parisian Artiste – PLACE ($2.40) R6: (8) Leap To Fame – WIN ($1.55) R7: (3) Tracy The Jet – WIN ($1.50) MULTI: $13.40 Bet Now Bet Now *quoted price correct at time of posting.
