Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 26, 2021August 26, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 DISCO UNDER FIRE (1) hadn’t been racing at his best but his last two starts have been full of merit. His last victory came when he led throughout at this track and he is perfectly drawn to aim for that scenario here. INFATUATION (5) is an inconsistent type who was only fair first-up but his best would win this event. PIERRE WHITBY (10) is racing consistently and will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time. MACHS GOLD (4) has been placed in two of his last three starts and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 1 5 10 4 Suggested Bet: PIERRE WHITBY (10) each way. Race 2 TYLER BRETT (5) crossed from a wide gate before running a nice 2nd to Alta Blues here last week. He is better suited by the shorter trip and will give a great sight if he finds the top. EUPHORIA (8) was a brave 2nd from the breeze in quick time here last week and has the strength to overcome the wide draw. EUPHORIC MOMENT (1) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and should be in the finish with normal racing luck. MANNING (2) is well-drawn with blinkers added and can improve on his first-up effort. Tips: 5 8 1 2 Suggested Bet: EUPHORIC MOMENT (1) each way. Race 3 SEE YA WRITE (2) recorded back-to-back victories here before being held up last start. He is well drawn tonight and is clearly the one to beat. FANCI A DANCE (4) was racing very well in June, including a last start win and will give a great sight if he is anywhere near his peak after a two-month absence. SHADOW ROLL (5) has returned from a break in great form and will be dangerous with the right trip. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (1) is drawn to get all the favours and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 2 4 5 1 Suggested Bet: SHADOW ROLL (5) each way. Race 4 ALTA BLUES (6) appreciated the drop in class when a dominant winner here last week and is the one to beat again despite the wide draw. ALTA INTRIGUE (2) has hit peak form with victories at his last two starts and is the obvious danger to his stablemate. CAVEMAN (1) has options at the start and did lead throughout here five starts back so must be respected. VESPA (4) is drawn to get a soft run close to the speed and is always dangerous under that scenario. Tips: 6 2 1 4 Suggested Bet: ALTA BLUES (6) to win. Race 5 BORN TO BOOGIE (10) impressed in winning all three starts in her first campaign in WA and will be hard to hold out if she has any luck from her awkward draw. ALTA LOUISA (12) has won two of her three starts this time in and has the strength to overcome her back line draw. MISS LAMARR (1) looks the early leader tonight and her last-start 3rd was full of merit. MINI MINE YET (7) recorded back-to-back victories in mares’ events before struggling against the boys but must be respected back against her own sex tonight. Tips: 10 12 1 7 Suggested Bet: ALTA LOUISA (12) each way. Race 6 VAMPIRO (8) has used his brilliant gate speed to lead throughout at his last two starts and looks a great chance to bring up the hat-trick. GALACTIC STAR (7) is the other class runner of the field and can play a part first-up. PERFECT MAJOR (2) has disappointed at his last two starts but must be considered from this draw on his good 2nd to Minstrel three starts back. IDEAL LINER (3) chased hard when 2nd to Magnificent Storm here last week and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 8 7 2 3 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (8) to win. Race 7 WHATABRO (2) has been placed in six of his past seven starts and gets his chance to break back into the winners’ circle here. He looks the likely leader and will be very hard to catch in that role. BEE JAYS BOY (1) has options at the start and looks a great place chance from his perfect draw. BLISSFULLABBEY (10) is racing consistently and will be hitting the line strongly again. OUR MISTA KALLE (3) hasn’t displayed his best form of late but has ability and could be an improver. Tips: 2 1 10 3 Suggested Bet: WHATABRO (2) to win. Race 8 STAR OF DIAMONDS (7) hasn’t missed a place for quite some time and she impressed at her resumption with a strong 2nd after facing the breeze. She won at her only start from the stand and is suited by the small field. HIT THE SKY (1) is a consistent type and will give a great sight if he can step to the front. THE TIGER ARMY (2) ran 2nd to Magnificent Storm in the Marathon here recently and looks a major player from his nice draw. BATAVIA ON FIRE (6) finished 3rd in that event and can be in the finish again. Tips: 7 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: STAR OF DIAMONDS (7) to win. Race 9 ALWAYS AN ANGEL (9) is first-up without a trial but has won eight of her 15 career starts and is clearly the one to beat despite the wide draw. THREE RUMOURS (5) is an inexperienced filly but has shown plenty of ability in her three starts and looks the main danger. ROLL EM (6) is awkwardly drawn but shows promise and can be in the finish. OUR STAR BILLING (8) sprinted home in 55.8 when leading throughout at her last start but will find it harder from out here. Tips: 9 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: ALWAYS AN ANGEL (9) to win. Race 10 BEE SEVENTEEN (1) peaked on the run when 5th to Just Barney at his first start back from a spell but will strip fitter and should give a great sight from the pole. JESSE ALLWOOD (2) battled on well when 4th in a stronger field here last week and looks a major player from his nice draw. MISS CAMOUFLAGE (7) has been placed at her past two starts and can run into the money at odds. DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (8) is the class horse of the field and will appreciate the drop in class but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 1 2 6 7 Suggested Bet: BEE SEVENTEEN (1) to win. Market Market
