Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 8, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: PPC MS PACE CHOK CHAI (1) has found the front in his three starts back from a spell and won all three impressively. He is drawn perfectly tonight and should handle the rise in class. LORD WILLOUGHBY (4) hasn’t missed a place in his ten starts this campaign and has won four of his last five. He won’t find it easy being drawn outside the favourite but should still be in the finish. MILITARY MASTER (7) bolted in at his first start from a spell and is right up to these on ability but has a tough draw. ALL THE TORQUE (2) can be placed from this alley. Tips: 1 4 7 2 Suggested Bet: CHOK CHAI (1) to win. Race 2: MILFORD HOMES MS PACE MAJOR CATASTROPHE (9) was an impressive standing start winner before being far from disgraced when 8th in the Pinjarra Cup. He will appreciate a significant drop in class and will relish the staying journey. BRONZE SEEKER (7) is back in form and ran a nice 3rd in a collectively stronger field here last week. MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (8) is another who loves the 2536m trip and will be finishing strongly. BETTOR NOT KNOWING (11) has won two of his last three in easier company but can play a part from this draw. Tips: 9 7 8 11 Suggested Bet: MAJOR CATASTROPHE (9) to win. SuperPick - Race 2 No. 9 MAJOR CATASTROPHE - Money Back Race 3: TOTAL HOME FRAMES 3YO FILLIES SALES CLASSIC MS PACE LADY DE LA RENTA (5) has won two of her last three in stronger company than she meets tonight. She is racing more tractably and should prove too strong for this opposition. SOMERSBY (2) ran a nice 2nd to Slick Artist before beating a moderate field at Pinjarra on Monday and looks the main danger from this draw. PRINCESS MAJOR (7) ran on strongly to win at Northam and has since trialled nicely but is drawn poorly here. SOHO STUCK ON YOU (3) is well bred and was placed at two of her three starts in her first campaign. Tips: 5 2 7 3 Suggested Bet: LADY DE LA RENTA (5) to win. Race 4: VINTAGE CEILINGS MS PACE SPRINGSTEEN (2) led and was narrowly beaten in 1.55.8 here two starts back. He looks a good chance to find the top and will give a great sight. A BOY NAMED ROSIE (7) flashed home to finish 3rd in the same race before making up ground to finish 4th here last week and will be running on strongly. JAMES GALLEON (5) hasn’t won for over 12 months but has been placed at three of his last four and tonight could be his night. IROCKMYWORLD (1) settled midfield on the pegs when a good winner five starts back and gets right draw here. Tips: 2 7 5 1 Suggested Bet: SPRINGSTEEN (2) each way. Race 5: PERTH PLASTERBOARD CENTRE EMPRESS STAKES MS PACE BETTER B CHEVRON (1) has won eight of her last twelve, with most of those being from in front. She has faced the breeze and ran 2nd and 4th at her last two starts but gets the chance to lead from the pole and will take a lot of catching. SHEER ROCKNROLL (7) faced the breeze when a solid 2nd to Dana Duke at her first run back from a spell and will be fitter for that effort. MAJOR REALITY (6) disappointed last campaign and hasn’t won for almost a year but is too good to dismiss first up. MADAME MEILLAND (2) won well last start and must be considered from the draw. Tips: 1 7 6 2 Suggested Bet: BETTER B CHEVRON (1) to win. Race 6: MILFORD HOMES QUEENSLANDER SERIES MS PACE VAMPIRO (3) won at his first two starts back from a spell and then sat outside RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (8) and ZENNART (3) when 3rd and 2nd to those pacers respectively. He is drawn inside the pair and can utilise that advantage to turn the tables. ZENNART (5) is getting fitter after four runs back from a long spell and his high speed must be respected. RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (8) is flying but will have to work hard from the widest draw. THREE BLIND MICE (7) trialled nicely recently but is also drawn poorly. Tips: 3 5 8 7 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (3) to win. Race 7: MILFORD HOMES ROOFLINE SERIES 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS SALES CLASSIC MS PACE ROCK ME OVER (3) has been placed at three of his last four, including a fast finishing 3rd behind Speed Man and Golden State last start. This is a considerable drop in class and he is clearly the one to beat. KOHLI (2) is never far away and should be in the money from this draw. OOSHTAA (6) has been racing quite well and will appreciate having McDonald back in the sulky tonight. HARRY HAICH (10) broke through for his maiden win last start and is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs. Tips: 3 2 6 10 Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (3) to win. Race 8: STUDCO BUILDING SYSTEMS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE RULING GOLD (4) has won three of his last five and looks suited with only one runner on the front line. He is extremely hard to beat when he leads and looks a good chance to find the top tonight. TOMMY BE GOOD (9) ran on strongly when 2nd to Major Catastrophe last start and is suited by the small field. ASSASSINATOR (7) has had no luck at his past two starts but his previous form is good enough for this assignment. MISTER TOM DOOLEY (1) is a reliable beginner who will have options in the run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 4 9 7 1 Suggested Bet: TOMMY BE GOOD (9) each way. Race 9: PPCSUPPLIES.COM.AU MS PACE ROCKIN THE BOYS (2) was forced to face the breeze when a brave 2nd to Hot Fraternity here last week. She looks a good chance to find the top and will be hard to catch in that role. SHEEZ EDGY (3) was a solid 3rd to Chok Chai last start and will appreciate a drop in class. ONE FOR SASSY (1) scored two upset wins in February and shouldn’t be overlooked from the pole. RESPONDER (7) didn’t seem to handle the solid tempo last start but must be considered on his previous win. Tips: 2 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: ROCKIN THE BOYS (2) to win. Race 10: MAL AND LEANNE MS PACE ALFS ODYSSEY (1) has ability but has raced well below his best this campaign with four unplaced runs. He does have good gate speed and could lead and get away with this moderate affair. FREE TO AIR (11) trialled fairly behind Sheer Rocknroll on Sunday and that reads well for a race of this nature. KRISTIAN ROBERT (7) had his chance when leading two starts back but shouldn’t be far away again. AUSSIE JET (2) is first up and hasn’t won for almost three years but has ability so monitor the betting. Tips: 1 11 7 2 Suggested Bet: ALFS ODYSSEY (1) to win. Bet Now
