Race 1

CHARLIES TACTICS (5) has been a beaten short priced favourite in his last two starts and expected to be short again here, hard to butter up for the third time but his performances have been good in defeat and no reason he can’t win this, go close. ULTIMATE TESS (6) has beaten him home his last two and hasn’t put a foot wrong since entering the stables of Dean Chandler, looks the testing material in this. LAVRADORE (2) returns under the care of Michael Young, he will have support just off the basis of the trainers strike rate, his best is good enough to match it with these but is a dangerous chance of being under the odds on return. ELISH STAR (3) is a novelty chance with SELLUNE (9).

Race 2

EDGE ELEVEN (1) was a solid effort last time out against Ilikeitlikethat and in a race where they ran good time, comes up with the draw and has options, looks hard to beat in this. ELQUESTRO (8) will get that perfect run and was a strong effort last start which supported a good unplaced effort prior to that run, won’t be far away. FUNNY AS (4) has good early speed and will be prominent in the run. FRONTMAN (2) wasn’t a bad effort on debut from a wide draw, expect him to improve off that and not be too far away and ELPLAYER (6) was a decent effort in the same race but faces a tougher draw.

Suggested Bet: EDGE ELEVEN (1) to win.

Race 3

IDEAL HEADLINE (3) couldn’t have found an easier race to break through, she is becoming the tale of two race types, her trials have been first class and it’s hard to believe she hasn’t won one this time in but her races have been troublesome and flat, she should win today but she has let me down before. WHATS GOIN ON (2) drops in grade and looks to be an improver in this but best run this time in was a last start eighth. UMA KARINA (5) was beaten 97.4m last start and is a soldi chance in this, has shown promise but also a lot of her support will come based off the fact that the in-form Dylan Egerton-Green is training her, same story for ANGEL MIKI (6) who is with Aiden De Campo and did things wrong on debut.

Suggested Bet: IDEAL HEADLINE (3) to win.

Race 4

HAVTIMEFORMIKI (6) reads up well for a Pinjarra run on debut in the country but does bump into some nice ones so the interview from Deni Roberts on Racing WA Harness on “X” or Twitter will be an important one. IM CATEGORY FIVE (7) will be better for the first up run and was a good effort on that occasion taking on some good fillies, she has brilliant gate speed and likes to roll. AMERICAN FALCON (8) is a nice type who has drawn to get a soft run on return, and his high speed looks his main attribute currently. BROOME BEACH (2) is a genuine novelty to place chance in this; he is a nice type with GENTLEMANS PROMISE (5).

Race 5

KISORA (1) should breakthrough today, good fighting effort last start and didn’t appreciate the breeze on debut, not an overly strong race and looks the leader and winner on paper. DELIVER ROCKNROLL (3) has shown a bit behind the scenes in trials and should get a soft run and looks a decent place chance with the consistent PAPPINBARRA LADY (9) who should get a good run through. LYCA FANTASY (5) likely breeze horse in this event and can stick on and novelty chances to CAPPY THE FIREY (2) and ALTA GABBANA (8).

Tips: 1 3 9 2

Suggested Bet: DELIVER ROCKNROLL (3) to place.

Race 6

ARISE LAZARUS (8) has been racing better than his numerical form suggests and has the perfect draw in this, looks to be following the leader who is good enough to get him to sprint lane for us to have a look at them late and hopefully finish over the top. CHIEF COPY (1) not at his absolute best currently but is a good on speed type and has the draw to lead but will be met with pressure from OAKLEY (3) who is still an undecided type for me, he shows a bit but starting getting a gauge, lightning lap presents an opportunity to spark him up with STIRUP IRON JACK (5) likely to charge forward and put the pressure on, he only knows one way off the front line. WICKED WINDERMERE (9) is starting to develop a trend of not winning, he is capable but might be in the bridesmaid’s dress again with SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (10) who is going really well but may have to punch through and could be 3 wide the trip, can win this but will have to be good. Cracking race.

Race 7

MAGIC CAPTAIN (12) was a strong debut run in the west last week and looks to improve off that and go close in this, faces a challenging draw but also looks a suitable race for him to go close. TAXI IT IS (2) is capable of better, she has a good draw and moderate gate speed but should be close to the speed to improve numerically. JOEY JAMES (3) is consistent and never far away but always finds an excuse, a win wouldn’t surprise but needs a few things to go his way. HOT ROD (9) caught my eye last start and think he’s an outside chance and one to be thrown into the quaddie mix with MAJOR MANHATTAN (6), INTO THE FUTURE (7), CIGANDA (8) and TOMMY PRICE (10).

Tips: 12 9 2 8

Suggested Bet: HOT ROD (9) each way.

Race 8

Good competitive race here. IDEAL MUSCLE (6) drops in grade a bit and has been performing well in town, looks a solid chance in this with an even amount of racing luck. WICKED HUSTLER (5) has shown glimpses but been disappointing, his best is well and truly good enough. SWIZZLESTICK (2) was a good effort last run and is ready to win, drawn to be prominent in this. MAJOR FREEWAY (4) is racing well and has good early speed, if he could work his way to the top, he would go close. DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (7) has a tough draw but better suited back to Monday racing and the middle distance. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (10) and FLYIN DISCO (11) will both be running on from the back with TRIROYALE BRIGADE (9) a likely improver and one for the novelties.

Tips: 6 2 5 4

Suggested Bet: IDEAL MUSCLE (6) to win.

Race 9

BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (10) is flying, his run in the BOTRA Cup was good and his previous performances at this track at both standing start distances have been first class, this is a suitable race, and he looks hard to beat and honestly, deserves a win. THOMSON BAY (12) is suited to the distance to overcome the handicap and has been stepping well, give him a strong chance in this with a big improver to JAXS IDEAL (8) who ran well last time out and was a noticeable improvement off the first up effort, if she improves like that again, she will be in the thick of it. I SEE FIRE (2) is capable but just has flat spots in his races which costs him valuable ground. WESMEDAD (3) is a chance but needs to be on speed. LUKES MISTAKE (6), GEE SMITH (7) and BEAT THE BANK (11) all capable with the right runs.

Suggested Bet: BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (10) to win.

Race 10

HI SUGA RUSH (11) was a solid effort through the line last time out at GP, if he drew to lead, I think he would just win this but will have to go about it another way which opens the race up, still think he’s the major player. ILLAWONG MUSTANG (7) is a chance to burn across and lead, he has been racing well and can run a good mile, would give them something to catch. RECOVER LOVER (1) was solid last time out and drawn to get a good run, loves the distance and can sit on a hot speed, chance. TURBO JAY (12) faces that tough draw over a mile which is hard to overcome, recent trial winner and best is good enough to be in the money. WALL STREET GIRL (6) had excuses last time out and is capable but lacks that early speed which costs her valuable ground, especially at this distance. MISTER KOPA (2) is a novelty chance, likes this trip with other novelty chances to AKOYA PEARL (5) and TUBBS FARQUHAR (10).

Suggested Bet: RECOVER LOVER (1) to place.
