Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 1, 2026January 1, 2026 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 SWEET COCO (7) has continued her binary form with three wins and four duck eggs from her last seven starts. This race looks to have a lot of early tempo which should help her settle into a rhythm and she will be hard to hold out if she does everything right. FRANCO ENCORE (4) hasn’t had a lot of luck in his two runs back from a spell but he will be very hard to catch if he can find the front without having to burn too hard. HEAVENLY WAGE (2) is racing well and should be thereabouts from his nice barrier. ILLAWONG MUSTANG (1) led throughout at his last start but may elect to take a sit up in class and over a longer trip. Tips: 7 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: SWEET COCO (7) to win. Race 2 INFINITE SIGN (1) hasn’t managed a win in his nine starts this time in but he looks the leader tonight and should prove hard to beat in that role. MIDDLEPAGE (3) overcame a wide draw to run a game 2nd here last week and should make his presence felt again. GAITCRASHER (12) ran to finish a nice 3rd in a stronger field here last week and will be charging home again. ARIONROCK (5) was an impressive winner in good time at Northam at his last start and is always dangerous with the right run. Tips: 1 3 12 5 Suggested Bet: INFINITE SIGN (1) to win. Race 3 HENTY (1) won consecutive events in November before leading but performing poorly at this track. He hasn’t been seen for three weeks so has to be taken on trust but would be hard to beat if near his best. YAWOMA (3) has been placed in 18 of his past 19 starts so you can’t question his consistency but he is pretty good at finding one better than him. NORTHVIEW DANCE (10) is racing well but he normally likes to get rolling early in his races and he is unlikely to get that opportunity tonight. LINCOLN RIVER (7) didn’t have much luck at his first run in the state but caught the eye up the straight and he should win his share of races. Tips: 1 3 10 7 Suggested Bet: HENTY (1) to win. Race 4 MY WATCHLIST (1) has scored impressive victories at his last two starts and is ready for the rise in class. The query will be that he has never drawn inside barrier four in his Australian career and whether he can hold up at the start. ROCKANDROLLARTIST (6) is flying and would become the one to beat if he could find the front but there is plenty of speed drawn underneath him. MAUNGATAHI (10) has won two of his last three starts and his chances could depend on how quickly the polemarker begins. YOURE SO FINE (7) was a big drifter first-up but ran a solid 4th in the Pacing Cup Consolation and must be considered. Tips: 1 6 10 7 Suggested Bet: MY WATCHLIST (1) to win. Race 5 FAT LOUIE (5) had no luck in the final lap here last week when 5th to My Watchlist. He can make his own luck in this company and he should give a great sight on an each-way basis. IT IS CRUNCH TIME (10) looked to be bolting when finishing a close-up 4th in quick time here last week and will be very hard to beat if he can find the front. OH MIKI (3) was only narrowly beaten after doing all the work here last week and will make his presence felt. SUGAR DELIGHT (10) is racing well and will be charging home if she sees daylight at the right time. Tips: 5 2 3 10 Suggested Bet: FAT LOUIE (5) each way. Race 6 Sprint trip but I’m banking on a solid first quarter and moderate last quarter. BULL SHARK BETTY (7) has the best turn of foot and she will be charging home if there is some early pace in the race. MISS KNOWALL (5) has the winning form and will be hard to catch if she can finds the front without spending too many pennies. ICY COLD (8) ran 2nd in 1.55.8 at Pinjarra on Monday and I don’t think they’ll go that quick here. VIBRANT (1) was a good last start winner and can go back-to-back but I am worried about where she will get to from the pole. Tips: 7 5 8 1 Suggested Bet: BULL SHARK BETTY (7) each way. Race 7 HUNGER STRIKE (1) led throughout from this draw as our Best Bet last week against a stronger field and I’ve got her on top again but I’m not as confident. There are some quick beginners and if she gets crossed at the start you wouldn’t want to be on at the expected short odds. THE WILDCARD (6) is a very quick beginner who would become the one to beat if he managed to cross at the start. LORD TITANIUM (7) would be the beneficiary of an early burn and he will be charging home if that does eventuate. COLD HARD CASH (2) will enjoy a nice run close to the speed and should be thereabouts. Tips: 1 6 7 2 Suggested Bet: LORD TITANIUM (7) each way. Race 8 MARBEECHSAM (7) needs a solid tempo to bring him into it but happy to play him at each way odds. WICKED HUSTLER (1) isn’t overly brave but could get a cheap lead here and can definitely get away with a race of this depth. BEACH CAPTAIN (2) will be in the firing line throughout and won’t be far away. BURGHLEY SHARD (8) wasn’t suited in the breeze at his last start but can be in the money with a better run in transit. Tips: 7 1 2 8 Suggested Bet: MARBEECHSAM (7) each way. Race 9 ECLIPSE LINE (8) has three wins and a 2nd from his last four starts on country tracks and has found a very suitable assignment to break through in town. ROCKABILITY (9) will need some luck from out here but will be double figure odds and has more ability than most f his rivals. TUMBLIN DICE (3) hasn’t really impressed at his first two runs back from a spell but can improve. ALWAYSBFRANK (6) doesn’t win out of turn but can make his presence felt in this company. Tips: 8 9 3 6 Suggested Bet: ECLIPSE LINE (8) to win. Market Market
