Glenn Ingram’s Wednesday Caulfield Heath Preview Posted on December 1, 2025December 1, 2025 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 Maher stable has two good chances. JENNI BASSETT is three weeks between runs with a jumpout win at Cranbourne last week wearing blinkers, with the change in gear she appears improved and can settle on-speed from a wide draw. WOLFOFFITROYSTREET has been crying out for head gear as he looks to have the talent but very raw, just following horses around in his two career starts to date, the blinkers go on and could spark him. KIRWANS BRIDGE also gets blinkers first time and will appreciate the rise in distance. ICARO disappointed on a wet track hard in the market at Pak, his run prior at this course puts him in contention again. Selections: 10,8,4,3 Suggested Bet: None RACE 2 Ultra-impressive debut win by FARAWAY DREAM recording 57.59 for 1000m at Ballarat and did so on the bridle. More pressure this time, if she can find the top again she will take running down. JOB DONE was well-backed to win on debut at Seymour as a 2YO, he’s resumed with two good jumpouts at Cranbourne and gets a trail in from the draw on an expected fast tempo. ESPANA broke through for an overdue maiden win here last time, doubt she has the pace to control this one and needs the gaps to open up late. PACIFIC GLAMOUR looks progressive, won on wet at Ballarat when not that comfortable, could improve further on top of the ground. Selections: 8,4,7,10 Suggested Bet: FARAWAY DREAM win RACE 3 CHOKUTO ran well in a hot BM64 last start stepping slow then wanting to lay in up the straight, this is more suitable and love to see him use the inner draw as Melham did winning at Sale two back, that would give him the edge over CERTAINLY QUIET who is a good type by Dundeel, given time to balance up on a firm deck at Ballarat, he attacked the line in the manner of a coming winner. From the wide draw he will again give them a start. SIGNORETTI was put in the right spot to break her maiden at Tatura, she can be competitive again in this stronger race. Ditto ISLAND BOY every possible here last start, another good draw. Selections: 2,8,5,4 Suggested Bet: CHOKUTO win RACE 4 Wide open race. BROOKLYN BOSS is an honest galloper and was a forgive effort fresh, held up behind in a sit/sprint and couldn’t get clear running, worked home ok late. Big chance to improve second-up reuniting with Jarrod Fry and drawn a good marble to be tracking up behind a stronger tempo. STORM SEASON is a handy mare and goes best fresh, I like that she’s been given a month between runs and is well-placed to repeat her Kembla Grange win first-up. WELCOMETOTHESHOW is racing super, been up a long time and continues to hold his form, drawn out he will be dictated to by pace and pattern. SWIFT CIRCLE let down with a good finish at Kilmore and Stackhouse follows him to town. Selections: 8,6,7,10 Suggested Bet: BROOKLYN BOSS 1 x 4 RACE 5 RUNLIKEANENCRYPTION is a talented mare, unbeaten fresh and maps to have the back of the speed, love what she’s been doing at the jumpouts, if they go quick enough up front she has a good turn of foot to be slicing through and winning. PICK ‘N’ MIX has built a good record through smart placement and is in a winnable race fresh off an impressive Flem jumpout, Logan Bates is the right man to be rating one in front. WRITTENBLIGH is best-performed and has the weight to prove, Cartwright claims 2kg, sticky draw. EGERTON was legless here fresh when heavily-backed, caught back and wide throughout though offering some excuse, capable of more. Selections: 6,2,1,8 Suggested Bet: RUNLIKEANENCRYPTION win RACE 6 Even race, many chances. UNTAPPED was caught wide on-speed here last time when resuming in a much stronger race and faded last 100m, softer draw and a drop in grade give him winning claims. DOLLAR CHASER made ground in the same BM70 and now gets blinkers back on, he too is in the mix. MISS ALTAIR has been back to the trials after a plain effort at Ararat, winkers have been added to her gear, if she can ping the gates then she may take catching. MR EXCLUSIVE has a big finish, he’ll need the speed on early to show his best. Chances don’t end there. Selections: 6,5,8,1 Suggested Bet: 6 & 5 in multiples RACE 7 Easy bet to have, TOUCHDOWN is on an express train to much higher levels and through no fault of his own is still working through the grades, dominant with the money on here last time and is again placed to win, with even luck should be winning. LADY POTATO HEAD gets the benefit of Hannah Edgley’s claim and drawn to give a sight up on speed, MALE MODEL and FIORENOT are the best of the closing pack, the latter has been excellent in two runs this prep, cruelled by the barrier and will have a task beating home the favourite. Selections: 3,7,4,10 Suggested Bet: TOUCHDOWN RACE 8 Open race for fillies and mares. EMPIRE OF PAIN was genuine again last start when sat OSL and gave a strong kick in the straight only finding one better. Ethan Brown may look to take it up this time and will give a sight on-speed. ON BROADWAY is honest and racing consistently, Mark Zahra proved the difference breaking through last time, loses Mark but is well drawn to be in the finish once more. NAINA has been freshened since her last start win at Mornington at the lower level, a mid-prep jumpout at Flemington keeping her up to the mark and is another winning hope. SUN GIFT resumes and generally takes a run, this is the easiest field she’s contested for some time, could be competitive. Selections: 1,4,2,5 Suggested Bet: None Market Market
