Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Cranbourne Preview Posted on November 20, 2025November 20, 2025 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 STEALTH OF NIGHT is a talented mare, lightly raced and impressive at the jumpouts. She was scratched from a wide draw at the Caulfield meeting on Wednesday for this where she rises in grade and has the perfect draw to make the leap. PRINCE TYCOON is a likely improver second-up and has the speed to cross and take up the running, if he gets a soft time he will take beating. MADIYYA resumes, she beat up on some weak 3YO field form last campaign and needs to go to another level, only neat in size the 2kg claim from Luke Cartwright is important. AL PRANCER was tough off a wide run first-up at Bendigo, has claims. Selections: 7,6,3,8 Suggested Bet: STEALTH OF NIGHT win RACE 2 MALDINI is bursting to win a race this campaign, his chances were thwarted on the heavy last start at Pakenham where he chimed in strongly before spinning the wheels. Prospect of a dry track and a genuine tempo make him the hardest to beat. CAFFETERIA can repeat the run she had winning at Mornington but is scratchy out of the gates which is the knock coming of gate 1 and speed drawn her outside. ST EDWARD draws a lovely trail behind the speed as he did when chasing Napoleonic in the G3 Red Anchor, class drop helps. KATSUMI OROCHI is also coming back a level, was out of the race early at Flem and never threatened, another winning hope. Selections: 8,7,3,2 Suggested Bet: MALDINI win RACE 3 Two in-form stayers hold the key to the race, HOT TOO GO reunites with Craig Williams and drops in grade after leading up and sticking on at Caulfield. Drawn to repeat the effort. BUDJIK BOY is on the improve and railed up hard to score at Warrnambool, he’ll take orders from gate 3 and maps for a soft run tackling 2400m at his 1st attempt, if the gaps appear he has the sprint and appears over the odds. BLACK PEPPERMINT has been building slowly, the rise to 2400m suits, he will be dictated to at the rear. MICKIO was ridden to beat the favourite at Ararat and they brought each other undone, he’s racing well to be competitive again. Selections: 7,5,6,9 Suggested Bet: HOT TOO GO & BUDJIK BOY win RACE 4 Even bunch with no fillies accepting. GUMDROPS is the horse to beat, her form is outstanding for this and comes off a forgive effort last start copping interference before closing off strongly. Her willingness to win is the slight query. MERRIGOLD had her prep derailed with poor bloods after an impressive trial and luckless first-up run at Caulfield, ambitiously placed second-up after the gap between runs and never a factor, ridden with more intent here she is a winning chance. GRID GIRL was off the map in betting at Kyneton first-up and never looked like losing under Nash Rawiller. Doubt they ride similar and therefore a place chance only rising in grade. KEEP YOUR COOL is an honest mare and will find this easier going forward from the draw. Selections: 5,2,7,1 Suggested Bet: Quinella 2,5,7 RACE 5 ACELUM is progressive and the likely leader, he had a nice little tick-over jumpout between runs to keep him up to the mark for this, switching to a drier track is the query. YES I KNOW has done plenty of work at the jumpouts and shouldn’t lack for fitness first-up, he will be hoping for a solid speed up front to bring him into the race. BIG SEXY will be pleased to see no Guerite appearing in the form guide, he can take a forward spot but will recieve pressure from ASTRAL FLAME who is also a key speed influence, had the pattern in her favour at Geelong and then legless on the heavy at Pakenham, she wasn’t Robinson Crusoe that night. Selections: 1,4,2,6 Suggested Bet: ACELUM & YES I KNOW win RACE 6 Wide open race with many chances. SHOCKLETZ was heavily-backed off a 5 week gap at Flemington and ran into traffic issues, only fair to the line, sure to be improved for the run and finds a suitable race but need to see her again. TEXAS TEA is ready to win a race and that may be at 2400m, staying at 2000m is a query as he’s one-paced and may receive pressure from HOWLIN’ RAIN who was given a great ride by an apprentice full of confidence at Moe, suspect they adopt similar tactics if able. HURRY CURRY hit the line ok fresh, may look to sit closer using the inside draw. Selections: 5,9,1,8 Suggested Bet: Quinella 1,5,9 RACE 7 HEARCOMESTHESTAR can run a cheeky race at odds second-up, trialled to her usual high standards at Cranbourne and then never a factor in the strong G3 at Flemington. Using the draw to be prominent early, a winning hope. ACTUALITY was very soft in betting and slow out of the gates drifting back and to the inside which was inferior ground at Flemington, just plain to the line. Where Craig Wiliams puts her in the run dictates her winning chances. JASMIN ROUGE has a big finish and improves second-up, she will be relying on a horse like MYTEMPTATION to run them along early. Selections: 4,10,7,1 Suggested Bet: HEARCOMESTHESTAR 1 x 3 RACE 8 Good race for the border-hopper AIR ASSAULT, love the placement dropping back to the mile as the likely leader coming off back-to-back wins, the latest of those at listed level over 1800m. SABAJ appeals at the weights and can win again, this is harder, unlikley to get the speed on and will have to loop the field staying at the mile. WARNIE was rewarded for his consistency putting away the more fancied stablemate at Flemington, a tricky draw to contend with. STATUARIO is racing super without winning, charged home in the greys race at Flemington when dropping back to 1400m, looks the best of the closing bunch again. Selections: 3,15,1,13 Suggested Bet: AIR ASSAULT win RACE 9 There’s speed to burn in the feature. ZOU SENSATION comes back in distance with a jumpout between runs at Flemington and maps to get JIGSAW’S back throughout, a key winning chance. HEDGED will do similar, heavily-bet to win at Caufield last Saturday and lost sight of the bunny early and then was out-ridden by Mick Dee on the winner. Jamie Mott takes over, if the horse is not putting in, Jamie will find him. NEED SOME LUCK is the fresh horse on the scene, impressive winning on the wet first-up but is capable on all types of ground, a hard horse to price. SOUGHT AFTER is the blowout chance in the race, good improvement between two runs for the new stable and his NZ form puts him right in this. Selections: 5,8,6,10 Suggested Bet: ZOU SENSATION win RACE 10 In a race with many chances MANHATTAN THUNDER appeals at odds, a backmarker needing luck, he races extremely well at this course highlighted by his fast-finishing 2nd over the 955 last start, his first-up run also had plenty of merit and can run a big race with the fast tempo expected. CELERITY is a big watch first-up for the Maher stable, the Godolphin mare has caught the eye with her jumpouts at Cranbourne and has gate speed to use the low draw and land in the front pairing. BIANCELLI is looking to remain unbeaten, resuming off impressive jumpouts which is her usual standard. Only the one run last prep, betting and yard will be critical. CODIGO is well-placed dropping grade, she leaves Flemington where her best efforts to date have come and has a tricky draw to navigate. Selections: 12,13,9,3 Suggested Bet: MANHATTAN THUNDER 1 x 4 NEXT BEST: Race 8 #3 AIR ASSAULT ROUGHIE: Race 10 #12 MANHATTAN THUNDER Market Market
