Race 1

STORYTELLER (1) had a tough run last start when finishing near the tail but his previous form is good enough to be the one to beat against this line-up. MISTER MACEDON (2) is racing consistently and looks the obvious danger from his nice draw. BLAZE ON (7) was fancied but had a tough run when 8th here last week but can improve sharply. PRIME MOVER (3) should enjoy a nice run just behind the speed and looks a good place chance.

Suggested Bet: STORYTELLER (1) to win.

Race 2

INSTA GATOR (8) was four weeks between starts when knocking up late to finish near the rear behind Chivalry last week. He will strip fitter for that effort and looks the one to beat despite the wide draw. SECRET REACTION (2) goes up in class but is the likely leader and will give them something to chase. ILLAWONG MUSTANG (4) was a dominant winner at Albany at his last start and can play a part here. LAMANDIER (6) is racing consistently and is always thereabouts at good each way odds.

Suggested Bet: INSTA GATOR (8) to win.

Race 3

WAVERIDER (9) is drawn wide but he drops in class and he is clearly the progressive horse in this field. He will be suited by the expected early burn and can be put into the race whenever needed. MONTANA GLORY (11) hasn’t been seen since she sprinted brilliantly to win here four weeks ago and she will be a major player if she can reproduce that effort. NAVY STREET (4) has good gate speed and will give a great sight if he can cross at the start like he did two starts back when an all-the-way winner. BELLEZZA NERA (6) mixes his form but his best would see him fight out the finish.

Suggested Bet: WAVERIDER (9) to win.

Race 4

FREYJA (3) has resumed from a long spell in great form with two wins and two 2nds from four starts and the rise in. class tonight is offset by her nice barrier. OUR LADY JEN (10) broke through for a well-deserved victory here last week and she will be charging home if she sees daylight at the right time from her awkward draw. BLAZE COOPS (7) is a free-wheeling type who resumed with a Pinjarra win in good time and she will give them something to catch if she can bully her way to the top. UNLUCKY (1) should get a nice trip just behind the speed and won’t be far away.

Suggested Bet: OUR LADY JEN (10) each way.

Race 5

LAVRA JOE (8) recorded dominant wins in consecutive starts before working hard in the run when a game 2nd to MACHNIFICENT (3) here last week. SWINGBAND (6) was a comfortable 1.54.8 winner at his last start and is the obvious danger if he is forward enough to be driven to maintain his barrier advantage over his main rival. MACHNIFICENT (3) was suited by the tempo when causing an upset win her last week and a similar scenario looks possible. GOODFELLAZ (7) is racing well and finished 3rd in a similar field here last week.

Tips: 8 6 3 7

Suggested Bet: MACHNIFICENT (3) each way.

Race 6

MISTER MONTBLANC (10) has finished 2nd in four of his last five starts and this looks his best chance to break back into the winners’ circle. He is capable of working in the run or coming with a late burst and he should fight out the finish. MY ULTIMATE CHEVRON (8) finished alongside MISTER MONTBLANC (10) two starts back before running a nice 3rd here last week and is an obvious danger. MYDADTHETERROR (4) ran good time when winning at Busselton at his WA debut before being beaten as a $1.04 favourite at the same track but is worth following. GEE SMITH (2) is a reliable stand performer.

Suggested Bet: MISTER MONTBLANC (10) to win.

Race 7

REGAL CHEVAL (8) crossed from a similar draw here last week before handing up to Hillview Bondi when 2nd to that pacer. He looks a good chance to find the front again and he should prove hard to catch against this weaker line-up. FRANKLIN DELANO (7) is the other class runner who will win better races than this but is likely to have to work hard in the run here. JOEY JAMES (1) has the pace to hold most of those to his outside and looks a great place chance from the pole. STATE OF HEAVEN (6) has been unplaced in his past ten starts but will appreciate a drop in class tonight.

Tips: 8 7 1 6

Suggested Bet: REGAL CHEVAL (8) to win.

Race 8

HILLVIEW BONDI (6) led when 2nd to Lavra Joe in a stronger field before finding the top when a comfortable winner here last week and is clearly the one to beat again. CORDERO (7) ran on nicely to finish 4th in that event and will become a big winning chance if the favourite doesn’t find the front. FLYING RUMOUR (2) is mixing form but should enjoy a nice run behind the speed tonight and can figure. RASCAL (3) had gear problems last week but his previous form was solid.

Tips: 6 7 2 3

Suggested Bet: HILLVIEW BONDI (6) to win.
