Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on November 4, 2024November 4, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 SELLUNE (1) has a string of seconds to his name but has the perfect draw and has options, this looks a really good opportunity for him, and he will be very dangerous. PATCHED (5) looked the winner before striking trouble last time out, he is very consistent. THAT’S NOT MY GAIT (6) was a good effort after doing things wrong early last start, she could get out to a big price and expect her to go well. NICKYS SON (4) rarely runs a bad race and from the draw should be handy to them. Tips: 1 5 6 4 Suggested Bet: SELLUNE (1) each way. Race 2 ICE COLD SAPPORO (6) looks to be a smart type, he lengthened nicely to win his trial, and his debut win was of high quality, he should go back to back. MAJOR DISCO (5) is a nice type who is learning the caper, he will be in the thick of it. WRITE RITE RIGHT (2) is improving and has drawn nicely to feature and SAVE ME (1) who has trialled on the less encouraging side of things returns with a good draw and has shown ability, expect him to improve here. Tips: 6 5 2 1 Suggested Bet: ICE COLD SAPPORO (6) to win. Race 3 A DUKE TO BE (6) should burn across and be leading and winning, he is dropped in nicely here and expect him to get the job done. SONGSTER (1) has the nice draw and has not been at his best but with pay 3 totes on this race, he can do enough to run into the placings from the good draw. PAY HOMAGE (2) is getting closer to a win and looks a likely top 3 player again. ADDA LUCKY BOY (5) won’t be far away. Tips: 6 2 1 5 Suggested Bet: SONGSTER (1) to place. Race 4 Looks to be some heat on in the early stages here, I think Chris Voak could be the beneficiary of all of this with MEGA RAGE (6) and he has proven to be potent at the shorter course racing with a win a few starts ago, expecting him to go close. ERA (3) is ready to win, just needs to be able to hit the peg line first and he will give them something to catch. FLYING TO WIN (5) is coming into this fresh but she has shown ability, keep safe. CLASSICAL ELLIE (2) has good speed and will be prominent. STRAYLYA (7) might need the run, but this is a suitable grade. Tips: 6 3 5 2 Suggested Bet: MEGA RAGE (6) to win. Race 5 THELITTLE MASTER (1) returns here and he wouldn’t have been out of place in a WA Derby and comes up with the perfect draw, should lead and win but will be very short. GOODTIME LOUIS (2) has the race fitness on his side and looks to have good ability, with no back line I expect him to be leaders back and be dangerous late. FRANKLIN DELANO (5) is in top form but may have to do his fair share of work in the final circuit and it’ll get harder from there. LENORA JANE (4) and MAXIMUM ROCK (7) will both be running on but the tempo might not suit them. Tips: 1 2 5 7 Suggested Bet: GOODTIME LOUIS (2) to place. Race 6 FRANCO ECUADOR (5) is well placed and has come off the back of a solid trial against very nice horses, he has plenty of speed and expect him to be driven like the best horse in the race. TORPEDO ROCK (8) will appreciate plenty of tempo in the event to suit his racing style and he is 2 from 2 at the Lightning Lap events. BRODIE BOY (3) has the speed to cross and will run along nicely. ALTA QUEEN (4) performs well at these races and can bounce back to form from her reasonable draw. EVE CROCKER (2) is a bit of a watch as she comes into this race fresh. Tips: 5 8 4 3 Suggested Bet: TORPEDO ROCK (8) each way. Race 7 IM THE BLACK FLASH (8) has come back in tip top order and has got a lovely trailing draw here, he is a versatile horse who looks to get the run of the race, very hard to beat. SORRIDERE (1) returned with a win and has the speed to lead, Aiden De Campo has options from the draw but I thought he would lead and run a bold race. LUSAKA (9) returns and has plenty of ability, he can follow through and make decisions as the race unfolds but if he is ready to go I expect him to run into a top 4 position. ROLLING FIRE (11) can do some work and is fitter for the first up effort. SWEET LUCIFER (13) is flying and can dive to the pegs and be value for your trifecta’s and first 4’s here. Tips: 8 1 9 13 Suggested Bet: IM THE BLACK FLASH (8) to win. Race 8 NORTHVIEW DANCE (7) did a power of work last week and set the tempo for a track record run, he is versatile and a good beginner and can be put into the race, expecting him to go very close. OFF THE CHARTS (1) is having his first run from the stand and this talented 3yo will be guided by how he begins but expecting him to be prominent. TRIGWELL ROAD (4) is in good form, he should bounce into a good position and be dangerous along with his stablemate CALIENTE (6) who was good in last weeks feature race. BEEN SCOOTIN (8) might need another run based off his Collie effort a fortnight ago. Tips: 7 1 4 6 Suggested Bet: NORTHVIEW DANCE (7) to win. Race 9 SEAGRASS (3) is in good consistent form and she is showing some depth in her races, she looks hard to beat today. IRRESISTIBLE (2) has had excuses in some of her races, she gets another opportunity here and could potentially be in front wheeling and dealing. PECUNIOUS (1) is fitter for the first up effort and has options from the draw. JACKIE DANIELS (4) won’t be far away and has shown she has a good turn of foot, if the pace suits she can win. Tips: 3 2 1 4 Suggested Bet: SEAGRASS (3) to win. Market Market
